1 Patagonia Argentina SKI TOURING PATAGONIA - BARILOCHE & FITZ ROY, ARGENTINA 15D/14N FROM 2790 * ski touring patagonia
2 DATE Individual particpants: 2nd to 15th Septembre Group of 4 people or more, notifiy us your preferred dates. *Price per person based on a private group of 5 people.? DESCRIPTION At the time of year, when skis are normally gathering dust in the closet, we are offering an incredible ski touring holiday to explore Patagonia. We will make fresh tracks accross this vast and spectacular region and return to two base camps which are a 1500km plane journey away from each other. The first part of the trip will take us along the Nahuel Huapi Lake, at the foot of the Andes and a few kilometers from the Chilean border in the Seven Lakes district. Welcome to San Carlos de Bariloche, the historic capital of Patagonia. Lakes, mountains, pine forests, wooden chalets, fondue and chocolate awaits you there... Skiing overlooking the lake is fantastic, and the snow is often powdery. After 2 nights at the refuge Frey, easily accessible from Cerro Catedral, we will explore the many corridors and needles so typical of this beautifull part of the mountain... The second part of the stay will be 1,500 kilometers further south, at the Chile-Argentinean border. Based in El Chalten, we will be at the foot of the Fitz Roy and the Cerro Torre in Los Glaciares National Park. This is one of the most beautiful landscapes in the world, with granite peaks emerging from the third largest expanse of ice on earth. In this magnificent setting, we will be spoilt for choice of ski-touring routes. Then, depending on the weather and desires of the group, we can also ski the famous Perito Moreno glacier, which is located 2 hours drive from El Chalten... Programme subject to change, in order to make the best of prevailling weather and snow conditions.
