We ll transfer you to your hotel, and then you re free to explore the local sights and flavours after check-in. Try Hokkaido s famous Genghis Khan for dinner, and cook lamb and veggies on a huge domed grill set into your table! You can try this at the Kirin Beer Garden and other spots all over town. 22/09/19 - Match Day: England v Tonga, Sapporo Dome, 19:15 Free day for exploring! Ride the Sapporo Streetcar (shiden) for a leisurely glimpse of everyday life in Sapporo, stopping at the Tanuki-koji coveredarcade shopping street, heart of the neighbourhood. Later, you ll be transferred by bus to ultra high-tech Sapporo Dome for the evening match. Don t worry about a designated driver, as we transfer you back to your hotel by bus following this and all matches. 23/09/19 - Sapporo/Otaru Tour Today we make a trip to the quaint canal town of Otaru, with its charming old warehouses, herring mansions and well-preserved waterways. Seafood doesn t get any fresher than the pristine selection you ll devour as sushi for lunch, straight out of the cold, local waters. We top it off with a visit the Sapporo Beer museum, a Hokkaido Heritage site, and get to know Japanese beer first-hand. 24/09/19 - Transfer to Osaka Take to the skies after breakfast for our flight to exciting, electric Osaka. You re free after check-in to explore the modern architecture, the riot of glowing neon reflected in the waterways, and to discover for yourself why Osaka is called the nation s kitchen. 25/09/19 - Osaka Tour Today we explore Namba, gateway to the Osaka s southern centre and the pulsating neon and giant 3-D overhead food displays that jam the streets of Dotonbori. Cook takoyaki, grilled

4 TOUR DETAIL balls of dough with octopus, and explore Shinsekai, the New World neighbourhood built to model Paris and New York, complete with Eiffel Tower. 26/09/19 - Match Day: England v USA, Kobe Misaki Stadium, 19:45 You have a free morning to explore before the bus transfer to the picturesque harbour town of Kobe for the evening match. Ride the red Ferris wheel atop the HEP FIVE building for a view of the entire city. See the floating garden at the Umeda Sky Building or take a river cruise through downtown on the Aqualiner. Meals Included: Breakfast. 27/09/19 - Osaka Free Day See the splendid Osaka Castle and adjacent gardens, and then head over to nearby art island Nakanoshima, a 50-hectare sandbank in a river in within the city. You might visit Universal Studios Japan, or the Osaka Museum of Housing and Living to see what domestic life in Japan was like through the centuries. Meals include: Breakfast. 28/09/19 - Match Day: Argentina v Tonga, Hanazono Rugby Stadium, 13:45 You ll have a bit of free time in the morning before our bus transfer to Hanazono Rugby Stadium for the early afternoon match. Have you seen Namba Yasaka Shrine yet? The shrine s alter sits inside the open mouth of a mythical Chinese lion, almost three-stories tall! Kobo Brush Museum in the small town of Kumano, just east of Hiroshima, and make your own calligraphy brush. 1/10/19 - Transfer to Kyoto After breakfast we hop onto our coach bound for the Old Capital of Kyoto, and the scenery of autumn flowers and golden rice fields along the way should be stunning. After check-in, head out for a walk and breathe in the soft Kyoto air as you get your bearings around town. Head east to the Kamo River, turn left to walk upstream, then head back west when you get to Sanjo-dori (3rd street) to get the feel of classic Kyoto. You re free to explore on your own the whole day. 2/10/19 - Kyoto Tour Explore western Kyoto today as we stop in at Kinkakuji, the Golden Pavilion, then get your Zen on as you gaze at Japan s most famous rock garden at Ryoan-ji. Head out of the city to Arashiyama and visit Tenryu-ji, a sprawling Zen temple compound dating to 1339, with gorgeous gardens and teahouses. End your day in awe as you traverse paths cutting through towering bamboo in the dark and mysterious Arashiyama Bamboo Forest. 29/09/19 - Transfer to Hiroshima: Morning departure by bus to the hauntingly beautiful Hiroshima. Once checked in, explore the city and ride the Hiroden streetcar around town to visit the five-story Hiroshima castle and adjacent Shukkei-en Garden, where mountains, valleys, forests and lakes are recreated in miniature. Be on the lookout for okonomiyaki, the signature dish of the region, and Hiroshima s famous oysters, which are excellent year-round. In the evening, why not settle in to a neighbourhood izakaya, Japan s version of a pub, for a series of small dishes to pair with the excellent local sake and beer. 30/09/19 - Hiroshima/Miyajima Tour Site of the world s first atomic bombing, the city of Hiroshima is now a symbol of the wish for world peace. Visit the Peace Memorial Park, then board a ferry to exquisite and iconic Miyajima Island, site of the floating red torii gate in front of Itsukushima Shrine. On the island, feed wild deer and walk through the gorgeous and sprawling shrine jutting out over the water. Return by ferry and visit the

5 3/10/19 - Kyoto Free Day A walk east down Shijo-dori (4th Street) takes you through Kyoto s main shopping area to the Kamo River, where you can truly feel the essence of timeless Kyoto. Just over the river is super-shrine Yasaka Jinja, home of the gods honoured in the Gion Festival. Continue through the shrine and exit into Maruyama Park, Kyoto s premier cherry blossom viewing spot or turn back and head north up the river, strolling past riverside dining pavilions and scout an unforgettable dinner tonight. Prepare your large luggage tonight for sending in advance, and travel tomorrow with your KSG provided carry-on case. 4/10/19 - Transfer to Tokyo Travel by bullet train to Tokyo at speeds approaching 300 km per hour. You re free to explore on your own until evening after hotel check-in. Or head out to Shibuya to see the world s busiest intersection. Tried kaiten-zushi yet? Don t miss the experience of sushi revolving around the counter in front of you. Just grab what you like! Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch Pack. 5/10/19 - Match Day: England v Argentina, Tokyo Stadium, 17:00 You are free to explore before the late afternoon match at Tokyo Stadium. You might check out traditional down-town Tokyo in Sumida at the Edo-Tokyo Museum, and then visit Sumo Central at the nearby Kokugikan sumo tournament centre and museum. Neighbourhood restaurants serve up chanko nabe, the stew eaten daily by sumo wrestlers. 8/10/19 - Kanazawa Tour Visit the steeply pitched, thatched roof farmhouses of Shirakawago or neighbouring Gokayama, tour a Sake brewery, and see the gorgeous festival floats and enormous drums on display at the Matsuri no Mori museum in Takayama. 9/10/19 - Takayama Tour Today we explore traditional Japanese landscape design in 400-year-old Kenroku-en Garden and visit the large open-air Omicho market, sampling fresh seafood and traditional pickles as we walk along. Walk through the Higashi Chaya ( east teahouse ) District where rows of traditional Edo-era teahouses have been lined up, and see the Ninja Temple (actually called Myoryuji), with hidden tunnels, secret rooms, traps and a maze of corridors designed to defend against intruders and allow secret escape of inhabitants. 10/10/19 - Transfer to Tokyo Following two lovely relaxing days in Kanazawa we transfer you back to Tokyo. Settle into your premier hotel and unwind. Or visit Ueno Park, an amazing collection of green spaces, traditional temples and architecture, art and science museums, and an award-winning zoo. Or walk through pop-culture mecca Harajuku before stepping through the giant torii at Meiji Jingu into the vast, sacred forest and gardens surrounding the shrine. 6/10/19 - Match Day: New Zealand v Africa 1, Tokyo Stadium, 13:45 You ll have a bit of free time in the morning before our bus transfer to Tokyo Stadium for the early afternoon match, and you might go for a long walk along the cherry tree-lined river in Nakameguro, stopping at some of Tokyo s best boutique coffee shops and bakeries. Meals included: Breakfast 7/10/19 - Transfer to Kanazawa After two exciting match days, relax as we depart Tokyo by morning bus and cross the Japan Alps on our way to the castle town of Kanazawa on Japan s west coast, facing the Sea of Japan. A cultural mecca, Kanazawa has some of the best-preserved traditional architecture and gardens in Japan, not to mention a strong ninja presence. You re free after check-in to explore on your own. 6 11/10/19 - Mt. Fuji Tour Fuji-san, as it is commonly known, is the highlight of the day. Japan s tallest peak and an active volcano, it is the beloved symbol of the nation and a sacred mountain. Travel by bus to Lake Kawaguchi, serene reflecting pool for Fuji-san, then meander around the Oshino Eight Ponds for views of Fuji-san as a backdrop for traditional, rural scenery. Meet up with ninjas at the Oshino Ninja Village then enjoy lunch prepared with local ingredients before heading up to Fuji-san s 5th station (out of 10). Return to Tokyo by bus in time for dinner on your own. 12/10/19 - Match Day: England v France, International Stadium Yokohama, 17:15 Your morning is free for exploring Tokyo before your afternoon bus transfer to the city of Yokohama, around 45 minutes south of Tokyo, to the International Stadium Yokohama to see England battle France. You might visit Asakusa s Thunder Gate at Senso-ji, then hop up to the top of Tokyo Tower. Next, board the train for a quick trip to anime and electric town Akihabara. Meals Included: Breakfast. 13/10/19 - Match Day: Japan v Scotland, International Stadium Yokohama, 19:45 The morning is yours for exploring Tokyo. Why not see the city from the water? Cruises depart regularly from Nihombashi near Tokyo Station. Or hop over to neighbouring Ginza for some shopping and the Mitsui Museum. This afternoon we will return to the International Stadium Yokohama for the final pool match of Japan v Scotland. Meals Included: Breakfast. 14/10/19 - Today we say Sayonara as your tour comes to a close. Our team will arrange your transfer to either Narita or Haneda airport. (*) Should you wish to arrive into Tokyo prior to the start of this tour we have an optional 2-night Tokyo Add-on, and the following can be added to your escorted tour. 19/09/19 - Pre-Tournament arrival Tokyo You can arrive early to Japan and KSG will meet and greet you after clearing customs, we will escort you to an airport hotel to make your travel in a few days to Sapporo easier to manage. Rest and relax and prepare for your adventure that will follow. 20/09/19 - Match Day: Japan v Europe 1, Tokyo Stadium, 19:45 Today the tournament gets underway with the Opening Ceremony and first match in Tokyo Stadium. You have a free morning to explore some of the incredible scenes Tokyo can offer. We will transfer you to and from the tournament via coach. 21/09/19 - Transfer to Sapporo In the morning we will transfer you to the airport where you will take your flight to Sapporo (flight not included in the package). Upon arrival into Sapporo you will be met by KSG staff and other tour participants that will be starting the Follow Your Team England tour.
