Enjoy the lush, rural scenery as you are whisked from the airport to your hotel in vibrant, exciting Tokyo, the world s most populous metropolis. This evening join us and your other tour participants for a Welcome Drinks celebration to officially start your tour. Your tour includes a choice of two cultural experiences that you may schedule for your free time. You might have a photo shoot in samurai armour, learn to make sushi or wagashi (Japanese sweets), do some taiko drumming, have a sake brewery tour and tasting, try your hand at Kintsugi (pottery repair with gold), attend a matcha tea ceremony or do some zazen meditation. Meals included: Evening Drinks. 26/10/19 - Match Day: semi-final 1, International Stadium Yokohama, 17:00 Your morning is free to explore Tokyo before your afternoon bus transfer to the city of Yokohama, around 45 minutes south of Tokyo, to the International Stadium Yokohama for semi-final 1. You might visit Asakusa s Thunder Gate at Senso-ji, then hop up to the top of Tokyo Tower. Next, board the train for a quick trip to anime and electric town Akihabara. Bus transfer back to the hotel after this and all matches. Meals Included: Breakfast. 27/10/19 - Match Day: semi-final 2, International Stadium Yokohama, 18:00 The morning is yours for exploring Tokyo. Why not see the city from the water? Cruises depart regularly from Nihombashi near Tokyo Station. Or hop over to neighbouring Ginza for some shopping and the Mitsu Museum. This afternoon we will return to the International Stadium Yokohama for semi-final 2. Meals Included: Breakfast. 28/10/19 - Mt. Fuji and Overnight at Hakone Head west out of Tokyo to Mt. Fuji. Japan s tallest peak and an active volcano, it is the beloved symbol of the nation and a sacred mountain. We stay the night at a fabulous onsen in the mountain resort town of Hakone. Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch pack. 29/10/19 - Transfer to Kyoto Depart Hakone for Kyoto by chartered bus. After check-in you re free to explore on your own. A walk east down Shijo-dori (4th Street) takes you through Kyoto s main shopping area to the Kamo River, where you can truly feel the essence of timeless Kyoto. Just over the river is super-shrine Yasaka Jinja, home of the gods honoured in the Gion Festival. prepared to travel with your KSG provided carry-on case. Or spend your morning in traditional down-town Tokyo in Sumida at the Edo-Tokyo Museum, and then visit Sumo Central at the nearby Kokugikan sumo tournament centre and museum. Neighbourhood restaurants serve up chanko nabe, the stew eaten daily by sumo wrestlers. 2/11/19 - Match Day: final, International Stadium Yokohama, 18:00 Your morning is free to explore Tokyo, and you may schedule one of your included Cultural Experiences for today before our final trip to Yokohama. Tonight the eyes of the world turn to International Stadium Yokohama for the final match of Rugby World Cup 2019 Japan. Witness history as the best two teams of the tournament take centre stage, leaving only 1 champion by the end of the evening. 3/11/19 - Tokyo Free Day The tournament excitement might be over, but Tokyo adventures await. Head over to Harajuku for the Sunday gatherings of costumed youth, then pass through giant torii gates into the sacred forest and extensive gardens of Meiji Shrine. Or head to an onsen theme park at Odaiba, where you can wear Yukata to play Edo-era games, visit the café or have a massage when you re not relaxing in the many pools and saunas. Or visit Ginza and grab a café table right in the middle of the central avenue, which is closed to cars on Sunday. 4/11/19 - Today we say Sayonara as your tour comes to a close. Our team will arrange your transfer to either Narita or Haneda airports. 30/10/19 - Western Kyoto Tour Explore western Kyoto today as we stop in at Kinkakuji, the Golden Pavilion, then get your Zen on as you gaze at Japan s most famous rock garden at Ryoan-ji. Head out of the city to Arashiyama and visit Tenryu-ji, a sprawling Zen temple compound dating to 1339, with gorgeous gardens and teahouses. End your day in awe as you traverse paths cutting through towering bamboo in the dark and mysterious Arashiyama Bamboo Forest. Prepare your large luggage to send in advance to and be
