4 PAQ MOCHILA For the transport of luggage stage by stage. At CORREOS we transport rucksacks and suitcases from stage to stage so that pilgrims do not have to carry their luggage. We pick the luggage up early in the morning from the hostel or hotel that you have indicated and we leave it at the next stage s accommodation, so it is there waiting for you each day upon arrival. 5 How does the PAQ MOCHILA service work? 1 The first thing you do is make a BOOKING so that we can arrange the transfers. We need to know the day that the pilgrim will start the Camino and to which hostel or hotel we have to go to collect the luggage. We need this information before 9:00 pm on the day before the start of the service. Furthermore, if at the time of booking you are able to indicate all your accommodation, you will not need to get back in touch with us, as we will have a record of your entire route. 2 Our postmen and women will collect your luggage, placing a label on it bearing a CONTROL CODE. This will serve to identify it, so we can transport it from stage to stage, according to your instructions. 3 Once you have started the Camino, you just leave your luggage at the front desk first thing in the morning (you can confirm with each accommodation the approximate time that we pass by on our route). 4 For any question that may arise during the Camino, our customer service staff will be available to answer your calls from 8:30 am to 9:00 pm, from Monday to Sunday, from Easter Week until 31st October. 6 PAQ BICICLETA For pilgrims who are doing the Camino de Santiago by bicycle, at CORREOS we offer the transport of bicycles to your starting point, and also back home after you finish. Sending bikes to your starting point on the Camino. CORREOS post offices throughout Spain offer the Paq Bicicleta, service, which includes special packaging that means the bike needs very little disassembly (150 cm long, 30 cm wide and 90 cm high), and a minimum insurance of 300 euros that can be extended. With Paq Bicicleta, you can send your bike from your location to any post office on the Camino, where you can collect it when you arrive. We recommend that you organise the shipping 3 or 4 days in advance. We will keep it free of charge at the post office for up to 15 days to give you time to arrive and pick it up. If you decide to begin the Camino in Roncesvalles dwe also have a delivery service to the hostel. 6 Shipping of bikes at the end of the Camino. Once you have finished the Camino, you can send your bike back from Santiago de Compostela, Fisterra, or from any other CORREOS post office. At CORREOS post offices in Santiago de Compostela (on the Rúa do Franco - 2 minutes from the Cathedral - and in the Pilgrim s Office itself) you can also access bicycle shipping services to Portugal, France, Italy, Germany and other European countries..

8 PAQ PEREGRINO CORREOS, as a courier company, offers pilgrims a special service tailored to their needs and that carries your name: PAQ PEREGRINO. The service allows you to send suitcases, rucksacks and packages to any post office where they can be kept until your arrival. We will store them free of charge for 15 days, a period that can be extended up to 75 days. The Servicio PAQ PEREGRINO service is useful for: 1 Shipping suitcases and rucksacks to your starting point on the Camino. As a pilgrim, you can send your luggage to your starting point on the Camino so you don t have to travel with it, or to save yourself the cost of checking a bag when you fly. 8 2 Shipping of luggage to the post office in Santiago. Pilgrims, especially those from overseas, travelling with two suitcases: one for the Camino and the other with more belongings, can send one of them to our post office in Santiago de Compostela (on the Rúa do Franco, 4), or to any another post office on the Camino, and we will look after it for you there until your arrival. This can be done from any of our more than 2,000 post offices in Spain - including the one in Madrid-Barajas airport, the one in Burguete (Roncesvalles), or those in Barcelona, San Sebastian, etc. 3 Shipping of parcels during the Camino. If you want to make purchases during the Camino or to get rid of something from your rucksack, you can send a pilgrim s package to any post office and pick it up there when you finish your Camino. 4 Shipping of luggage back home. On finishing the Camino you can send suitcases, rucksacks or walking sticks to any post office that is convenient for you to collect from.

10 Pilgrim Service Office with Left-luggage Service in Santiago In Santiago de Compostela, CORREOS has a post office offering attention to the pilgrim in the Rúa do Franco, 4, two minutes from the Cathedral. This office has special opening times, and in addition to the usual timetable from Monday to Friday, it also opens on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays from Easter until October 31st. Here the pilgrim will find: 1 LEFT LUGGAGE SERVICE. So you can leave your rucksack, bike or walking stick and so enter the Cathedral (which does not allow entry with luggage), visit Santiago de Compostela or travel to Fisterra. 2 SHIPPING OF SUITCASES AND RUCKSACKS. You can send your suitcase or rucksack back home from here with the Paq Peregrino Service. 3 SHIPPING OF BICYCLES. The post office has special packaging and tools to facilitate the shipping of bicycles SHIPPING OF WALKING STICKS. For those who do not want to get rid of their walking stick, you can send it back home from the post office. 5 6 ARRANGE TRANSPORT OF YOUR RUCKSACK TO FISTERRA. Those who want to continue their Camino to Fisterra or Muxia, can book their Paq Mochila from here. SENDING OF POSTCARDS, LETTERS, PACKAGES The post office also has postcards, stamps and packaging for traditional postage. 7 PILGRIM S SHOP: So that pilgrims can take home a memento or souvenir from their Camino. In addition to this post office, CORREOS has another point of attention in the Pilgrim s Office itself, on Rúa Carretas, from where you can access all the same services.

11 TARJETA CORREOS PREPAGO MASTERCARD CORREOS offers a prepaid card that will allow the pilgrim to set off on their Camino with no worries. With this option you can do the Camino de Santiago without carrying a lot of cash on your person and without having to carry your usual banking cards. The Tarjeta CORREOS Prepago MasterCard allows you to pay at any of the establishments that accept MasterCard (practically all those in Spain), make purchases on the Internet and withdraw money from cash machines and in computerized post offices. It differs from other cards in that it is not linked to a current account, so you will not be able to spend more than the amount that has been loaded onto it. The service features an app which can be downloaded from the App Store or Google Play, which allows you to manage the card quickly and conveniently from your mobile, check your balance, add more money or lock and unlock it with just one click. You can apply for it at any post office and you will receive it in your hand at the time for a single payment of 6 euros.
