You will then be transferred to your hotel (standard check-in time is 1400 hrs). In the afternoon there will be a short tour of Old and New Delhi, including Chandni Chowk and Humayun s Tomb. 4 Jacqui at the Taj Mahal After lunch, you will be driven to Agra (approx. 4 hours drive). On arrival, you will check in at the hotel. Hotel Clarks Shiraz 28 Oct 18 At sunrise, you will visit the Taj Mahal. The Taj Mahal is everything that has been said about it and more. Taking 22 years and 20,000 men to build, the white marble was quarried 200 miles away and was transported to the site by a fleet of 1000 elephants. Built by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan as an expression of his love for his wife Mumtaz, in mid-17th century, the Taj Mahal is truly one of the wonders of the world; Return to the hotel for breakfast After breakfast, you will visit the Agra Fort. It was the seat of Mughal rule and administration and the present structure owes its origins to Akbar who erected the walls and gates and the first buildings on the eastern banks of Yamuna River. Shah Jehan added the impressive quarters and the mosque while Aurangzeb added the outer ramparts. Visit the Hall of Public Audience and the Royal Pavilions. Later visit to Itmad-Ud-Daulah.

5 After the visit, you will be driven back to Delhi (approx. 5 hours drive). On arrival in Delhi and time permitting, you will be transferred to a local market where you may like to indulge in some last-minute shopping. Post this, you will be transferred to the international airport to connect with your Emirates flight to Manchester via Dubai. Note about Swami Rama Sadhak Grama Ashram (SRSG) Guests are offered a daily schedule of instruction in meditation, pranayama, relaxation, hatha yoga, and yoga philosophy. A main focus is to share with all who visit the science and philosophy of meditation. We aim to individualize our programmes, taking into account the particular areas of interests of our guests, but all newcomers do go through a series of classes that introduce, orient and share the foundation practices and philosophy of the Himalayan Tradition. Our purpose is to teach and make available the knowledge of yoga meditation within the Tradition of the Himalayan Masters, as interpreted by Swami Rama of the Himalayas. Participants in all the programmes follow the daily ashram schedule which begins at 5:00 AM and runs until 9:30 PM. Time for reading, journaling, and reflection is always available.

Most cottages have AC. Guests are provided with vegetarian meals which are cooked and served in a common dining hall. A reverse osmosis water filter is in the dining hall where guests may fill their water bottles for drinking water. The tap water at the ashram is drawn from our own well. Additional facilities include a large meditation hall, a video room, bookstore, sound recording room, and the Meditation Research Institute. The suggested contribution per person per day is same for single/double. This includes accommodation, meals and teaching. The ashram provides bed linen, blankets and towels. Please bring your own toiletries. Comfortable, casual and less revealing clothing is recommended. White and light colours are traditional ashram colours, and are considered sattvic (resonating peace and purity). Ladies will have to take care to not wear halter or thin strapped tops, mini-skirts or shorts. Men will take care to wear a shirt outside of their room. Tight clothing is also inappropriate. Shoes are removed to enter the mediation hall, dining hall, etc. so you may want to have a pair of shoes that are easy to take on and off. In the spirit of ahimsa (non-harming), they do not consume or prepare any meat, fish, or eggs on the premises. Alcohol, intoxicants or mind-altering drugs are prohibited. Smoking is not allowed in the cottages or on the campus grounds.
