1 NEW YORK Welcome to New York Airports! The New York metropolitan area has the busiest airport system in the United States. It is also the most frequently used port of entry and departure for international flights. In 2011 more than 104 million passengers used the airports under the auspices of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey (PANYNJ). The metro area is served by three major airports,, Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) and LaGuardia Airport (LGA), which have been operated by PANYNJ since JFK and Newark are connected to regional rail systems by AirTrain JFK and AirTrain Newark respectively. The Central Terminal Area (CTA) of Kennedy Airport has six passenger terminals which surround the inner parking facilities of the circle in the center of which are both JFK Expressway & Van Wyck Expressway. Arriving by car from Van Wyck Expressway, please turn left for Terminal 8, and right to Terminals 1 & 2; drivers arriving from JFK Expressway will turn right to Terminal 8, left to Terminals 7 & 5. T1, T2, T4, T5, T7 & T8 are connected by the Airline Terminals Train & the Airtrain which makes frequent stops everywhere around the airport: airline terminals, parking lots, hotel shuttle areas and rental car facilities. Every AirTrain ride around the airport is free. Arriving Delta Passengers continuing their journey on Delta may use one of its three shuttle routes to transfer between Terminals T4 & T2 located at B18 & B54 gates; while 2 passengers needing to get to T4 will use the shuttle located at C60. Shuttles are marked accordingly and take between 2 and 6 minutes.

10 Airport Transportation Transfers, airport shuttle, car rental, taxis, buses, rail Terminal Transfer All JFK terminals are connected by the Airline Terminals Train & the Airtrain which makes frequent stops everywhere around the airport: airline terminals, parking lots, hotel shuttle areas and rental car facilities. Every AirTrain ride around the airport is free. AirTrain is free to within terminals and parking lots. To get to NYC or LIRR, $5 is due to connect to the MTA Subway & Train stations. Taxi & Limo Service: Taxis at JFK Airport charge a flat fare of $52 for trips between the airport and Manhattan. Taxis impose a $4.50 surcharge during peak hours (4-8 p.m. weekdays, excluding holidays), for a fare of $ Car, Van & Scheduled Bus Service Reservations for shared-ride van and private car services can be made at the Port Authority Welcome Center located on the Arrivals level of each terminal. If the center is closed, there is a convenient self-service kiosk nearby where you can contact authorized shared-ride or private car services. 11 Airport Parking Cell Phone Lot: To pick someone up at JFK use free Cell Phone Lot waiting area, located near the airport entrance, off the Van Wyck Expressway. All terminals are reachable from this lot in less than 5 minutes. The lot, with over 70 spaces, allows drivers to wait until their arriving passengers have disembarked the aircraft, collected their baggage and are ready to be picked up. Kiss and Fly: Another alternative to your dropping someone off at the airport, Kiss & Fly is located at the AirTrain JFK Lefferts Boulevard Station where AirTrain service is free and travelers arrive at their 1 terminal in just minutes. JFK Valet Parking: The Valet Parking Lot is conveniently located at the Lefferts Boulevard AirTrain Station. Drop off your vehicle at the lot and get free AirTrain service to your terminal in minutes. Valet Parking at JFK is safe and secure. When you return, your vehicle will be waiting for you. Fees: First 24 hrs or part thereof $24; Each 12-hr period thereafter $12. Long-Term Parking Lot at Lefferts Blvd., approx. 4 miles from Terminals 1 to 9.
