Pietro Leopoldo de Medici, the grand duke of Tuscany, loved the Val d'ambra because it is a beautiful valley, full of agriculture and traditional Italian farmhouses. Rural farming estates continue to be an integral part of the Val d'ambra landscape. The property is an ancient abode of the Medici family that has been completely restored and is surrounded by beautiful scenery. Located between Siena, Arezzo and Florence, it is understandable why the Medici family considered it one of their most prestigious properties.
