3 Knockerdown Cottages Knockerdown Cottages is the perfect place for a weekend reunion, party, celebration or get together, where you can have all your friends and family staying in one location for 3 nights and enjoy the celebrations without having to pack up and rush off in the morning. A group of traditionally stone built self-catered cottages each sleeping between 2 and 11 people are all equipped for individual guests needs so they can also take time to relax in their own space. Nestled amongst the cottages is a central leisure building with games room, indoor heated swimming pool, sauna, spa and two function rooms. Our own little path leads across the road to a traditional country pub serving local beers and home cooked meals. We also have a children s play area and large meadow for games and activities to keep the more active members of your group busy! The surrounding countryside or nearby Carsington reservoir is perfect for a Friday afternoon ramble or quiet Sunday morning walk to clear the head. Our smaller function room, The Carsington, can seat up to 20 guests around one table or would cater for a buffet for more guests, spilling out into the adjacent Games if required. The Brackendale can seat up to 100 guests and a marquee extension can be added if necessary. Patio doors lead out onto a terrace perfect for a drinks reception with stunning countryside views. Both our function rooms have tables and chairs provided. Comfort and Luxury for all of your Guests Our 16 cottages combining modern luxury with a traditional country feel can accommodate up to 90 guests. We provide linen and towels in all our cottages and high chairs and cots are available on request, so you can really make the most of your special weekend with all your friends and family. Perhaps a visit to the on site spa for the ladies which offers a variety of treatments for that little extra pampering whilst the men relax in the pub next door with a pint of locally brewed ale. The party can continue on Sunday with a breakfast BBQ or pool party brunch before having to get back to the grindstone!

9 Egginton Hall Egginton Hall provides a dramatic and impressive setting for any special event, with beautiful manicured grounds which are complimented by the Lake with 18th Century petite iron bridge. It is the prefect venue for special birthday celebrations, anniversary parties, launch parties or smaller, more intimate events where your guests can really enjoy and appreciate their surroundings in this wonderful woodland setting. Through the woodland is our dome roofed Summer House which you can dress with your own magical decorations for a drinks reception area or even renew your vows. Other beautiful drinks reception areas by the lake or on the island area are framed by the Country House as a stunning backdrop. For your party or celebration you can erect your own marquee or tent in a variety of locations. An adjacent paddock provides plenty of parking for up to 120 guests. Events at Egginton Hall are limited in numbers as the House is occupied as a private residence and therefore please contact us early to avoid disappointment. Why not make a weekend of it? For guests that need somewhere to stay and complete their weekend, Nether Burrows Farm is only 20 minutes drive away and can accommodate up to 52 guests combining modern luxury with a traditional country feel. We provide linen and towels in all our cottages and high chairs and cots are available on request, so you can make your celebrations last all weekend! Three of our cottages have Games rooms, Sunshine Cottage has an inviting bubbling hot tub and all the accommodation has open plan living, dining areas so your guests can reminisce about the exciting celebrations you have created. We also have a large meadow for games and activities and a fishing lake for those who want to spend a few quiet minutes. With all our venues we encourage you to bring your own caterer, drinks, entertainment, decorations and ideas to make your special celebration exactly what you want. Our Events team will help you as little or as much as is required and we also have a list of local suppliers if you need a little help. 10 Nether Burrows Farm Nether Burrows Farm consists of four large self-catered holiday cottages centred around an old farm courtyard. Each of the properties is tastefully furnished and fully equipped for any holiday need. 12 Prices and Packages We appreciate that organising your event can be stressful and that the last thing you want is lots of hidden extras popping up when you thought you had covered everything. That s why our Event packages are straight forward so you can clearly see what is included leaving you to concentrate on the fun bits! All our Gainsborough Retreats sites are available for Exclusive Use Hire, or part hire if you want a more intimate occasion. We have tried to list everything that may be required but if you have any other requests please just ask and we will do our best to accommodate you. We strongly suggest that all interested parties come and view our sites as you can get a much better idea of the spaces and facilities first hand. We can hold a provisional date for up to 2 weeks before a deposit becomes payable so there is plenty of time to check that all the important people are free! All our packages are centred around weekends but we can always accommodate mid-week bookings if required; please speak to our events team.
