5 The desire to pursue his very own culinary philosophy led to is departure from the Marriott group and in 2007 he joined Banyan Tree Hotels & Resorts as their Corporate Thai Chef. During his tenure, Tammasak developed and implemented the Saffron signature Thai Restaurant concept in 10 Banyan Tree properties before becoming an Area Executive chef for the Banyan Tree Bintan Indonesia. 7 Tammasak then realized a lifelong dream to own his own restaurant. He opened Suay Restaurant in Phuket in 2010 which has fast become a favorite with locals and foreigners alike

8 Suay has seating for 80 guests and offers innovative contemporary Thai dishes and Western dishes with a twist where local favorites such as Tuna tartar Esarn style, Steamed salmon in rice noodle with yellow curry and Mango sticky rice spring rolls with black sesame ice cream are listed alongside lamb chops and foie gras.
