1 ONE RELAX WEEK Take time to discover For those who want to discover the Brionnais countryside with a donkey but with the possibilities to make some breaks, we suggest you this relax week of hikes. You have a day of rest after two days of walking in great places for children with various activities (small hikes relaxing with your donkeys, games locally or activities offered by the owners) : So for sports holidays and relaxation, choose this option! The first day you go by the canal towpath. Before crossing the Loire, we'll show you a place to take a break along the Loire and then you cross the great river in direction of the Brionnais hills. 2 The second day, you ll hike through beautiful farmland in brionnais from hills to hills, you pass through small village like Fleury la Montagne, Saint Bonnet de Cray and end up hiking along the valley of the small river called bezo, pretty little river meandering through meadows where eat peacefully Charolais cows (13 km). You will slept at «cachettes du Dahut» The third day relaxing with several activities to choose from: On the site of «cachettes du Dahut» where you slept : Françoise the owner of «cachettes du Dahut» suggests several activities to do with her : Daytime: Accompanied ride discovering the fauna and local flora (5 per person ) Daytime: you can simply enjoy the pool and nice playground for children Daytime: relaxing hike with your donkey in the forest of Foumoux. Before dinner : For parents possibility of a sauna while Francoise cares about children (40 ) In the evening: campfire with roasted marshmallows (free) In the evening: Find the Dahut : Discover the fauna and flora night (5 euros per person ) Day fishing on the pond of Aquadev, (you can go with your donkey or kindly ask Francoise if she can take you there by car) : first solution : you know fish, so all materials will be provided for a day fishing on the beautiful site of the pond in Ligny en Brionnais ; second solution it s a first for you, then you will be accompanied by a licensed fishing guide will introduce you to the joy of fishing! 3 On the fourth day, a hike in the heart of Charolais brionnais countries where the charolais cows are borned, green meadows, tenderness everywhere! A gently day. If you have the chance to do this hike on a Wednesday, we can adapt the circuit so that you can be in Saint Christophe in the early afternoon to see the cattle market, very famous... worth a look! Then you will take a small, bucolic forest trail to finish the trail Hauteval, winding between two hills... (14 km with possibility shortcuts 2 and 4 km) Sixth day, rest day : At Françoise (Even another Françoise ), you'll be welcome and children will enjoy this small farm to take care of animals : chickens, ducks, quail, guinea pigs, donkeys without forgetting the dog and cats... Françoise will collect eggs, feed the animals (in summer, many babies on the farm : chicks, rabbits, baby guinea pigs... ) or pick raspberries, blackcurrants and redcurrants with children and Françoise prepares excellent pies with it. You have the option of doing nothing : the cottage is perfect for lounging, a small house cool in summer with a terrace that offers one of the best views in the region of the mountains of the Madeleine... doing nothing is a delight... but if you want to stretch your legs with your donkey, there are short walks (about one hour) wich are really nice and give beautiful spot for the pic nic (near ancient wash house) Hébergements possibles à cet étape Adresse Tarifs Old goat renovated single bedroom, a loft with 4 beds (can sleep 2 people in the living room). 4 On the seventh day, at the beginning of the hike, you can visit the church of Saint Julien de Jonzy famous for its Romanesque portal of the XII century. Then, you stay in nature and tranquility... you start your hike in the forest, you cross the «bois du roi», the «gros bois» and the «bois du prêtre». At the end of the wood, you can go for a wine testing at «vin des fossiles» (produced in organic farming) in the beautiful cellar of Jean Claude (every afternoon in July and August, by appointment the rest of the year)... luckily it s easy to find your path after it! And you reach easily the top of Iguerande, where you finish the hike with a visit to the beautiful Romanesque church overlooking the Loire valley, a spectacular view on the river... (circuit 14 km with 2 km shortcuts only possible starting from the coq à l âne and Mrs Aubry)! 2016 PRICES FOR THE RENTAL OF A DONKEY 7 DAYS: 350 (Because of the passage of taxes from 7% to 20% in January 2, 2014 on rental donkeys, we are obliged to subject our customers a significant increase in prices but beyond our control!) This price includes the rental of the donkey, hiking equipment and care of the donkey, the complete organization of the hike by us before your arrival.
