This family resort boasts views over the Alps on one side and the Côte d Azur on the other. Elevation: 1,400 1,650 m Number of ski runs: 23 CHAMPSAUR At an elevation of between 1,260 m and 2,100 m, Le Champsaur comprises five village resorts amid abundant nature where the skiing is intimate and the villages are discovered quietly on foot or in snowshoes. Ancelle sits on a plateau with 15 ski runs. Suspended like a balcony over the sides of the Vieux Chaillol, Chaillol has 13 ski runs with exceptional vistas. Laye is perfect for downhill skiing beginners as the eight ski runs have been designed to encourage gradual progression. In Saint-Léger-les-Mélèzes, the 16 ski runs snake beneath a beautiful larch forest. The eight Serre-Eyraud ski runs delight authentic skiing enthusiasts such as fans of downhill skiing. CRÉVOUX Nestled in the Parpaillon Massif, Crévoux is a natural skiing haven. Established in 1937, the resort has retained the authenticity of a real mountain village over time with its warm welcome and friendly atmosphere. Elevation: up to 2,500 m [ALPES-MARITIMES] LA COLMIANE This is every inch the intimate and familyoriented natural resort. The rural plateau is a haven of peace perfect for resting while enjoying the many activities on offer. 10 QUEYRAS Backing onto Mont Viso (3,841 m) and Italy to the east, Queyras is a deep, ramified valley at the heart of a regional natural park. The five village resorts, Abriès, Arvieux, Ceillac, Saint-Véran and Molines form four ski areas with varied atmospheres and plenty of character. Tucked away in a forest of hundred-year-old larch trees, the 15 or so kilometres of slopes twisting and turning through the Izoard ski area (Arvieux: 1,650 2,200 m / 40 hectares of slopes) enjoy exceptional snow coverage and unbroken views over the Pic du Grand Rochebrune. The perfect ski area for families as is the Haut-Guil area (Abriès: 70 hectares of slopes). The recently developed Cristillan ski area (Ceillac: 1,680 2,500 m / 45 hectares of slopes) is popular with experienced skiers with an elevation ranging from 1,650 m to 2,450 m. Finally, the Beauregard ski area (Molines-Saint-Véran: 100 hectares of slopes), the largest of the Queyras areas, switches between forest landscapes and unspoilt open spaces where beauty and silence reign supreme. NORDIC SKIING AREAS For fans of beautiful escapes and immaculate settings, 37 Nordic ski areas await between the Alps and the Mediterranean. Looking to escape on the 300 km of slopes winding through the larches in the Briançonnais (Romanche, Clarée, etc.)? Set off in search of the Gap-Bayard Plateau facing the Écrins Massif? Picture yourself in the Himalayas as you roam the Valgaudemar slopes? Sample the southern ambiances in Valberg and Casterino (gateway to the Vallée des Merveilles) or Soleilhas Vauplane and Gréolières-les-Neiges? Or explore the Ubaye landscapes from Val d Allos to Saint-Paul, through Barcelonnette or Colmars-Ratéry? From cross-country skiing to ski touring and snowshoeing, anything is possible, with family or friends.

11 RÉALLON In the midst of the Aiguilles de Chabrières cirque, on the threshold of Écrins National Park, the Réallon resort towers over Lake Serre-Ponçon for a unique vista. A relatively small family resort, Réallon is in an accessible location (less than two and a half hours from Marseille) and has something for nearly everyone. Elevation: 1,560 m 2,135 m Number of ski runs: 20 [ALPES-DE-HAUTE-PROVENCE] SAINTE-ANNE A spectacular vista worthy of the very best of the Alps resorts. Tucked away at an elevation of 1,830 m, the beauty of this family resort s open spaces will turn more than a few heads. And some will find it perfect for powder skiing. Elevation: 1,500 m 2,000 m Number of ski runs: 13 [ALPES-MARITIMES] ROUBION-LES-BUISSES A Mercantour National Park town, on the Route des Grandes Alpes, Roubionles-Buisses is the newest of the Alpes- Maritimes resorts. Welcoming beginners, experienced skiers and downhill skiing, cross-country skiing and snow mountain biking enthusiasts, the resort also boasts exceptional vistas. Elevation: 1,410 m 1,920 m Number of ski runs: 20 [ALPES-DE-HAUTE-PROVENCE] SAINT-PAUL-SUR-UBAYE Perched at 1,800 metres in the high valley of Ubaye, its slopes echo with a sense of the infinite everything is calm and relaxing. 14 NEW FOR WINTER 2018/19 NEWS NEW CHAIRLIFT INFRASTRUCTURE MERCANTOUR NATIONAL PARK UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE CANDIDATE As it celebrates its 40th anniversary in 2019, the park is in the running for UNESCO World Heritage Site status. The application has been jointly submitted by France, Italy and Monaco for the maritime area. The Mediterranean Alps paint a unique picture of the geological history of the planet. Mercantour National Park is an unusual illustration of this, with an active mountain range separated by an oceanic basin (the western Mediterranean). This peculiarity explains the diversity of its landscapes, flora and fauna. VALBERG RECEIVES THE FLOCON VERT LABEL It s the sixth French resort to receive the label from the Mountain Riders association for its environmental protection initiatives via good ecological practices: the provision of electric vehicles for shared use, comprehensive resource management with restricted water use for measured snowmaking and the installation of more energyefficient systems (ski lifts with ISO certification, public LED lighting, etc.). ENERGETIC SELF-SUFFICIENCY IN LES ORRES The resort continues to pursue energy self-sufficiency. Solar panels are set to be installed on resort buildings for energy self-sufficiency. What s more, 35 pylons will be removed from the landscape. The amount of noise made by departure and arrival stations will be reduced thanks to new innovative technology. The heat from the engine will be recovered to heat the chairlift buildings. Investment of almost 8 M. In Serre-Chevalier, the Côte Chevalier (six-seater) chairlift in the Villeneuve sector will streamline the high-altitude skiing offer and ensure better link-up between Monêtier-les-Bains and all sectors in the ski area. Investment of 10 M. In Pays des Écrins, there will be two new detachable chairlifts: La Crête des Bans (six-seater to transport 2,835 skiers/hour) in Puy-Saint-Vincent. Investment of 7.6 M. La Crête (four-seater) in the Pelvoux- Vallouise ski area as a replacement for a surface lift. Opening in December 2018, Le Pic Vert will provide the Orres resort with a 1,432 m detachable six-seater chairlift (six metres/second and transportation of 2,400 people/hour) departing from the bottom of the slopes (1,650 m) and terminating at the current Grand Clos chairlift (2,246 m) arrival point. A new chairlift range (the first in France) from Doppelmayr (D-Line range). In Allos, the new Parin-Pascal six-seater detachable chairlift will take visitors to the left bank of the Val d Allos-La Foux Centre Station, gateway to the Espace Lumière. A CRYOTHERAPY CENTRE IN BRIANÇON Go Cryo, the first Whole-Body Cryotherapy (WBC) centre in Serre Chevalier Briançon, opens! Devised by osteopath Léo Meyer, this centre is a chance for athletes and the general public to enjoy this powerful, innovative therapy in three-minute sessions in an electric chamber set at between -80 and The centre combines health and harmoniousness. Relaxation, stretching and treatment areas will join the cryotherapy area. Cryotherapy is renowned for its beneficial properties in sports preparation, recovery and performance and traumatology. Cryotherapy is also recognised for its positive effects on joint and neurological diseases such as polyarthritis, multiple sclerosis and osteoarthritis, and can also assist in postsurgical and post-traumatic recovery as well as dermatological diseases, sleep disorders, stress, depression and vascular conditions.

15 ACCOMMODATION NEW **** HOTEL IN SERRE CHEVALIER LE MONÊTIER At the heart of the village of Monêtier-les-Bains, it will be the valley s only hotel-restaurant open all year round. Its sun-soaked terrace with mountain views, simple decor, regional cuisine, unmistakable barbecue flavours, big events and warm home-style welcome will make one of the valley s high points. The hotel will have 21 rooms with mountain views. Rooms will present a warm, modern, understated decor. ACTIVITIES SPOTLIGHT ON SKI PATROLLERS IN RISOUL, VALBERG AND PUY-SAINT-VINCENT In Risoul, the snow Samaritans come in twos: one member of the ski patrol and one ESF ski school instructor. They are also intended to make connections and ensure that everyone casts off their usual status to reach out to customers in an unusual way. In Valberg, experience the ski area from within with the ski patroller for the day initiative. Participants accompany ski patrollers in the early morning and help open the ski area, giving them a behind-the-scenes look at this exciting job and a chance to see the slopes with not a soul in sight. In Puy-Saint-Vincent, the slopes open on Sunday from 7.30 a.m., from 31 March to 21 April. A golden opportunity to whizz down the slopes in peace and enjoy the personalised events. PRA LOUP WOMEN S WEEKEND On 16 and 17 March 2019, Pra Loup will celebrate women. Ski passes will be free for all women over this all-female weekend with many more promotions in the resort s stores and restaurants. With events and discounts galore, this weekend has become a women s institution over the years. HOT BATH UNDER THE AIGUILLES DE CHABRIÈRES IN RÉALLON The Bacchus Nordic baths offer an experience like no other at 2,000 metres: taking a hot open-air bath in a wooden barrel while immersed in water heated to 40 by a wood burner. After this extraordinary après-ski, the evening continues with a Finnish aperitif and a mountain buffet made with regional produce at the high-altitude Le Bacchus restaurant. You will be taken there by snowcat and later take in the starry skies! Minimum: 15 people. 15
