4 ISLAND TOURS CROATIA CRUISING Welcome to Sun Island Tours Dear Traveller, Sun Island Tours is proud to present our 2019 early release brochure for Croatia Cruising, including our wonderful Croatia Cruise & Stay Packages. Demand for travel to Croatia continues to rise unabatedly. As international airlines increase their flight schedules, local ship builders are busy constructing more featurefilled vessels every year. This is great for you, as it means you can choose to sail on anything from traditional wooden sailing boats all the way to state-of-the-art deluxe motor yachts. We have released this early release brochure to allow you to get ahead of the demand. As cruises are often filling up half a year prior to sailing, getting in early allows you to book exactly the cruise you want. Many of the cruises featured also include earlybird discounts, so there are savings to be had by booking early too. Croatian sailing vessels have up to a maximum of 20 cabins. These cabins are often spread over two decks a Lower Deck where cabins have smaller porthole windows (which cannot be opened), and a Main Deck which has larger windows (which usually can be opened). Whilst the Lower Deck cabins are more affordable, we like them for being relatively private. Main Deck cabins see a lot more traffic outside them, and as such do tend to be a bit louder. When deciding between Lower and Main Deck cabins, engine noise is not an issue because the vessels sail during the day, not at night. Our Groups Department can help with cruises all around Croatia, including the chartering of entire vessels. We can also create tailor-made packages. Use our knowledge and expertise to streamline your group travel. We are extremely excited by our exclusive sailing The 3049 Cruise. This is a Deluxe cruise specifically catered towards the 3049 year age group. This will sell out fast, so get in quick if you fit this age bracket and would like a stylish and relaxed cruising experience. For further information, please contact your travel agent or visit us at Our comprehensive website features online brochures, destination information, and other specials and promotions. John Polyvion Paul Polyvion General Manager 4 sunislandtours.com.au We d like to thank our many repeat clients, and extend a warm welcome to our new ones. General Manager

9 Island Hopping Packages CROATIA CRUISING 2019 Croatia Cruising The vessels that sail the Dalmatian coast are beautiful small ships that allow you to access ports easily and see fascinating islands up close. The tradition of sailing the Adriatic is almost as old as humanity, and in modern times the only difference is the use of motors instead of sails. If you choose to sail on traditional, vintage-style wooden vessels, you will find an affordable way to explore Croatia. It is the amiable Captains and crew on these vessels who offer an authentic experience. Most of the Captains are the owners of the vessels, and have been sailors for their entire lives, like generations before them. If you select the premium vessels, you will experience a more comfortable cruise, with larger cabins and dedicated tour managers to help with anything you need whilst exploring the Adriatic. The ultimate option is to cruise on one of the deluxe or deluxe superior vessels recently built steel hull ships with a sizeable crew and classy cabins. Most cruises include 2 meals per day, however some also have additional specialty meals throughout. Regardless of which category you choose to sail on, the cruises are open to travellers of all ages (excluding The 3049 cruise and the Young & Fun cruise). TRADITIONAL PREMIUM SUPERIOR Wooden ships with wash-basin and bunk beds in the cabins. Shower and toilet facilities are shared, and the vessels only have air conditioning in the salon/dining area. Recently built steel hull vessels up to approximately 41m in length. Air conditioning throughout and beautiful cabins. Cruise manager on board. TRADITIONAL ENSUITE DELUXE Wooden ships with private shower and toilet in each cabin. Most have bunk bedding. Vessels only have air conditioning in the salon/dining area. Stunning, larger vessels with a huge sun deck. Well appointed en-suite cabins with double or twin side-by-side bedding. Cruise manager on board and sightseeing options included. PREMIUM DELUXE SUPERIOR Steel hull vessels with a more modern look and air conditioning in the cabins as well as the dining room. The vessels are usually 2935m in length. There is a cruise manager on board to coordinate your sailing experience. Lavish vessels. Cabins are spacious. Many have TV s. Food is first class. Cruise manager throughout and various sightseeing included. may include airport transfers. Deluxe Superior VIP vessels have cabins with balconies. When booking your cruise, you can select cabins either on the lower deck or the main deck of the vessel (some vessels have an upper deck also). Lower deck cabins have portholes only, however they tend to be more private. Main and Upper deck cabins have larger windows which can usually be opened. Bedding may be double or twin (some vessels also have triple cabins), and bedding preferences can be requested where available. Traditional vessels have cabins while premium and deluxe vessels have 18 or 19 cabins. sunislandtours.com.au 9
