8 Supreme Split return cruise ROUTE A150 m/s desire 8 days from split to bol, hvar, korčula, dubrovnik, mljet, pučišća, omiš and split Day 1 ARRIVE, Saturday (D) You will be transferred from Split s airport or your Split hotel to harbour, where embarkation begins at 13:00h. Get settled in your cabin before attending a Welcome Reception this evening. Day 2 BOL HVAR, Sunday (B,L) Stop in Bol, a small town on Island Brac, with optional swim at the Golden Horn if weather permits, enjoy the 530 m long golden pebble beach said to be the best in Croatia. It is unique in that it changes shape and position depending on the winds. Return to your boat for lunch, then head to Hvar. Hvar is one of the most popular islands in the Adriatic and a meeting point for the international jetset. The Croatian Madeira is also one of the longest islands stretching along the shores of Croatia. A sightseeing tour of Hvar town shows you the first public theatre in Europe (older than Shakespeare s theatre in the UK) and many more historical sites. Your evening is free to explore Hvar on your own. Note: Due to the limited capacity of the Hvar harbour (during peak season in July and August) port of call can be substituted for Stari Grad/Jelsa. In that case transfer by bus will be organized to and from Hvar. Day 3 HVAR KORČULA, Monday (B,L) Leaving Hvar early in the morning we set sail for Korčula, with swimming stop in one of pristine bays and lunch onboard. Early afternoon arrival to Korčula, thought to be the birthplace of the famous explorer Marco Polo. Take a walking tour through its narrow, cobbled streets full of history. Your evening is free to discover the town and enjoy dinner on your own at one of the many good restaurants wrap around the the edges of the fortified town. Day 4 KORČULA DUBROVNIK, Tuesday (B,L) In the morning sail to Dubrovnik, Pearl of the Adriatic, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Upon arrival in Dubrovnik, you will enjoy a guided tour of the magnificent Old Town with a panoramic ride above the Old Town. You will have rest of the day at leisure to explore the Old town, to take the Cable car to Srđ Mountain or a boat ride to Lokrum island. Overnight in Dubrovnik. Day 5 DUBROVNIK MLJET, Wednesday (B,L) Today we turn our compass back north, with plenty of time for morning swim along the sail. As you dine, set sail for Mljet Island. Upon arrival join the cruise manager for a visit to the famous salt lakes in the National Park and enjoy the boat ride to St. Mary Isle. Mljet National Park encompasses five types of forest, many species of birds, and two deep lakes, Veliko Jezero (Big Lake) and Malo Jezero (Small Lake). This lovely island was supposedly a favourite holiday spot for the Greek hero Ulysses! Your evening is free in Mljet. Day 6 MLJET PUČIŠĆA, Thursday (B,L,D) Take a break for a swim during your morning cruise. Continue sailing through lunch, arriving this afternoon in Pučišća, a beautiful little town on island of Brac. Pučišća features a spectacular steep-sided natural harbour and authentic Mediterranean architecture. Tonight, enjoy captain s dinner onboard. Day 7 PUČIŠĆA OMIŠ, Friday (B,L) Next we head to our final port. Omiš with it s fortresses which are silent stone reminders of the power and might of the infamous pirates who once made their homes and fortunes here. You will have a possibility to book a short walking tour, followed by boarding a small boat and sail into Cetina River Canyon, a protected nature area, continuing to Radman Mills for a local specialty snack. After visiting Omiš set sail to Split with a stop along the way to swim, cool off and relax, if weather permits, with lunch onboard. In the late afternoon we arrive in Split to take a guided tour of the historical center of city which is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site. Your evening is free in Split. Set sail towards Bol, a small town on Island Brac, for a swim at the Golden Horn. Enjoy the 1740-foot-long golden pebble beach, said to be the best in Croatia. It is unique in that it changes shape and position depending on the winds. Afterwards head to Hvar, one of the most popular islands in the Adriatic and a meeting point for the international jet-set. (B, L) Day 3 Hvar Biševo - Vis, Monday Leaving Hvar we will have an early morning cruise towards small island Biševo to visit the Blue cave, a magnificent natural phenomenon (entrances to be paid on the spot approx. $8,5). As sometimes weather conditions can be very unpredictable, the possibility of our visit will depend on those conditions, however you will be notified of this on time. Continue to the island of Vis, once a strategic naval Yugoslav base and closed to the public. Due to this isolation, Vis has a special charm the Mediterranean as it once was making it really interesting to visit. Situated on the northern side of the island, Vis has developed near the remains of the ancient Issa, first urban center in Croatia. If interested, visit the remains of the Roman thermal place, City museum or simply take a walk enjoying the views of the beautiful Villae Rusticae situated along the waterfront. (B, L) Day 4 Vis Korčula, Tuesday While enjoying breakfast overlooking the blue waters of Adriatic we continue our cruise towards the Korčula island best known as the birthplace of Marco Polo. Stop for lunch in one of the secluded bays en route. Join the cruise manager for a stroll to the famous salt lakes in the Mljet National Park (entrances to be paid on the spot approx. $18) and enjoy the boat ride to the St Mary Isle to visit an ancient Benedictine monastery, an old abbey and a Church dating back to the 12th Century. Alternatively, you can rent bicycles, scooters or kayaks to explore the National Park or island on your own. Enjoy the peace and tranquility of the island. Tonight enjoy Captains dinner and overnight in port of Pomena. (B, L, D) Day 6 Mljet Slano (excursion to Ston with oyster tasting ), Thursday Morning departure for a small village called Slano on the mainland, a peaceful fishermen s village and the starting point to Ston, another, once fortified small village famous for its oysters. After exploring the town s medieval ramparts a short coastal walk leads us to an oyster farm to learn more about oysters and tasting this delicious treat. Overnight in Slano with dinner on board. (B, L, T, D) Day 7 Slano Elaphiti islands Dubrovnik (Panoramic sail around Dubrovnik city walls) Friday Early morning cruise to Elaphiti islands with swimming stop on one of the secluded bays to spend the morning. Before lunch sail to Dubrovnik, before we moor at Gruž port we cruise alongside the old city walls, while lunch is served. After docking join a guided tour with panoramic ride and transfer included. (D) Day 2 Split NP National Park - Zadar Sunday Depart from Split early in the morning to Primošten with visit of the Krka National Park, with its magnificent waterfalls. Afterwards, coach to Vodice, return to the ship and enjoy lunch, while sailing to Zadar, a city of exceptional history and rich cultural heritage. In the late afternoon, set out on a walking tour of Zadar historical center and admire the old walls built in 16th century by Venetians as a defense from Turks. Also see the 16th century Port Gate where the Venetian lion still guards the entrance, the Square of the Five Wells, Church of St. Donat, the Roman Forum and the largest cathedral in Dalmatia, St. Anastasia. Your evening is at leisure in town. (B, L) Day 3 Zadar Kornati National Park - Zlarin Monday Morning departure for the National Park Kornati, comprised of more than140 islands, islets and rocks. In addition to this large number of islands, the continental part includes only ¼ of the surface of the park, while the rest belong to the marine eco-system. Afterwards we continue to Zlarin, a typical small Dalmatian village widely known for tradition of hunting and processing corals, where we will overnight. Tonight enjoy Captain`s dinner onboard. (B, L, D) Day 4 Zlarin Vis Tuesday Leaving Zlarin we will have an early morning cruise towards the island of Vis, once a strategic naval Yugoslav base and closed to the public.
