2 Kornati Islands Anyone who has sailed around the 1000 or so islands of the Northern Adriatic will tell you that it is one of the most beautiful places on earth. The combined effect of the natural beauty of the region with the impressive history and stunning architecture of its towns and cities makes it the perfect region for discovery by small ship, and with the 36-passenger Princess Eleganza we have just the right vessel. Opatija Even the most jaded of travellers cannot fail to be won over by the hundreds of islands that dot the coast. The sea is an intense blue and the islands are amazingly scenic whether it be the natural beauty of Mljet, the Kornati Islands, the waterfalls of Krka or the enchanting 16th century architecture of Hvar. One of the many Krk Pag Kornati Islands Zadar Zlarin CROATIA highlights of the area is of course Dubrovnik where our Korcula journey begins, a marvellous example of a Medieval city, Opatija surrounded by its ancient walls and well deserving of its status as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. In Split, with its powerful reminders of the Roman Era, we can admire the classical architecture which has inspired artists and architects through the ages. We have included guided tours but you are of course free to explore these atmospheric ports at leisure should you prefer. Sibenik Split Hvar Badija Mljet Jakljan Dubrovnik Some explore the region by hopping on and off ferries, others hire sailing boats. But for most, the best means of exploration is by a cruise vessel. There are a number of huge cruise vessels that include a couple of ports of call in the Adriatic but this is not an area for today s mega cruise ships. The small islands, ancient towns and villages cannot accommodate large crowds of tourists and when travelling in such large groups, people miss the essence of what these places are all about. For a comprehensive look at the region with time set aside to swim in the azure seas, it has to be explored aboard a small ship. The benefits of small ship cruising along this coast are numerous, particularly the smaller numbers ashore and the ability to spend evenings in port. All the large ships tend to up anchor in the late afternoon and head out to sea. During our itinerary we will moor overnight every evening which affords the opportunity to take a stroll after dinner in some marvellous places that are particularly atmospheric in the evening after the crowds from the big vessels have departed.

3 Krka Falls Korcula Our View Our itinerary for this voyage aboard the Princess Eleganza has been planned for you to do as much or as little as you like choose to join our guided excursions, relax on the sun deck, or explore individually at your own pace. There is a good balance of individual dining ashore, and meals on board. If you can t decide on a restaurant for dinner, our knowledgeable Cruise Director and friendly Croatian crew have tried and tested recommendations. A real treat is swimming from the ship in the clear Adriatic waters an amazing (and refreshing) experience. If you are looking for a cruise with a difference, and a combination of comfort and informality, we believe the Princess Eleganza is the perfect ship. The Itinerary Day 1 London Gatwick to Dubrovnik, Croatia. Fly by scheduled flight. On arrival, transfer to the Princess Eleganza where the crew will welcome us on board. Meet later for the Welcome Cocktail and Dinner. Day 2 Jakljan & Mljet. We sail this morning towards Mljet and, if weather permits, will make our first swimming stop at the uninhabited island of Jakljan in the Elafiti Islands. We will find a suitable anchorage for a relaxing morning before continuing our journey over lunch arriving in Mljet in the early afternoon. This is one of the few Dalmatian islands that were never ruled by Venice, which is apparent in the architecture and the absence of any sizeable historic town. What it lacks in terms of great architecture it more than makes up for in natural beauty as we will see on our tour to the National Park including its beautiful lakes. Moor overnight in the small port of Pomena and dine ashore tonight in one of the local restaurants. Day 3 Badija, Korcula & Hvar. During breakfast we set sail for Korcula the reputed birthplace of the explorer Marco Polo. On the way we hope to anchor off the island of Badija to enjoy a swim in the clear waters before arriving in Korcula in the late morning. Enjoy some free time to walk along Korcula s crooked Medieval streets to the elegant squares which are flanked with palaces of the old nobility. Return to the Princess Eleganza for lunch as we sail to Hvar. We will anchor during the late afternoon in Stari Grad, where we take a short coach ride across the island to the attractive Old Town of Hvar for a guided walk. We begin in the main square which is the largest piazza in Dalmatia, see the cathedral, the Franciscan Monastery and the Benedictine Nunnery, where we hear about the aloe lace still produced today by the nuns. After some free time, return to the ship and enjoy dinner on board as we moor overnight in Stari Grad. Day 4 Split. Sail this morning for Split where we arrive at lunchtime. This afternoon enjoy a guided walk through the town. Explore the Palace of Diocletian, built by the emperor in AD as his retirement villa. Much of this large building is well preserved and the palace contains Split s Old Town within its walls, making it the only Roman palace that has been continuously inhabited since Roman times. It is a wonderful spot to wander the maze of streets. This evening enjoy dinner in one of the many restaurants in Split on the Riva Promenade. Day 5 Zlarin & Sibenik. We will sail from Split at first light and make our way to the small island of Zlarin where we hope to stop for a swim from the ship before continuing to Sibenik where we will arrive over lunch. This afternoon we visit the majestic waterfalls of Krka. We will explore on a guided walk along wooden walkways and across bridges through this unique landscape with its multiple waterfalls and interesting flora and fauna. Return to the ship and take the opportunity to dine in one of Sibenik s restaurants this evening. Day 6 Kornati Islands. We will spend today amongst the 140 islands that make up the Kornati Archipelago, a wonder of natural beauty, coves and clear blue waters. George Bernard Shaw fell in love with the islands saying On the last day of Creation God desired to crown his work, and thus created the Kornati Islands out of tears, stars and breath. Today we will cruise around the islands and will find a location to swim from the ship. For those interested, an optional tour can be arranged to the cave of Strasna Pec on the island of Dugi Otok. We will overnight in the port of Sali and enjoy dinner on board. Day 7 Zadar. This morning we will leave the Kornati Islands as we cruise towards Zadar. Once a dominant city on the Adriatic Coast rivalling Venice, Zadar is today a treasured city which has preserved its historical core. Enjoy an afternoon walking tour strolling around the Old Town with its Roman columns and portals, Romanesque churches and Renaissance and Baroque palaces. Of particular interest are the 9th century circular Church of St Donat, and the 13th century Romanesque cathedral. This evening we have the chance to dine in one of the many restaurants in Zadar as we moor overnight. Day 8 Pag & Krk. Sail from Zadar over breakfast and if the weather

4 Hvar Split Zadar Croatian Coastline allows, we will drop the anchor and stop for a swim from the ship as we pass the island of Pag. Return to the ship for lunch on board and a relaxing afternoon of sailing as we continue our journey north. In the late afternoon we will arrive into the island of Krk, the largest of the Croatian Islands, and have the chance to explore the harbour town independently before finding a restaurant for dinner this evening. Day 9 Opatija. Our final day on board begins after breakfast with * 11 th to 20 th July 2018 Opatija to Dubrovnik Itinerary a cruise to Opatija. We hope to enjoy one final opportunity to swim from the ship before arriving in Opatija in the early afternoon. Here we will enjoy a guided walk through the town and some time at leisure before returning to the ship for our Farewell Dinner this evening. Day 10 Opatija to London Heathrow. Disembark this morning and transfer to Zagreb airport for our scheduled flight to London Heathrow. Please note that the 11th July departure operates in the reverse direction to that shown from Opatija to Dubrovnik. Whilst the order of days and excursions varies slightly, the inclusions are the same. Built in 2015, this beautifully crafted vessel sails the Adriatic and Istrian Coasts taking in the highlights of this stunning area. With a maximum of just 36 guests, the vessel benefits from a relaxed, informal and friendly atmosphere. Meals served on board have a homecooked feel featuring wholesome, fresh and tasty Mediterranean cuisine. When dining ashore independently, your knowledgeable Cruise Director will recommend popular restaurants. On our excursions, our experienced local guides will enhance our understanding of Croatia. Your Cabin The 19 cabins are finished to the highest standard with sleek lines and neutral colours. All are equipped with a safe, air conditioning/heating, hairdryer, and flat screen TV. Each cabin features an en-suite bathroom with shower, toilet, and basin. All cabins also feature a dressing table and chair. Main Deck cabins have port holes, whilst Upper Deck cabins have small windows. The Promenade Deck cabins have larger picture windows which offer panoramic views. Cabins measure between 14 and 15m 2 with the Master cabins measuring 20m 2. The two single cabins measure 12m 2.
