4 Day 1 / Day 2 HANOI, VIETNAM Depart from your home city on an overnight flight, arriving at the Hanoi airport, where you will be greeted by a Haimark representative, who will transfer you to the tranquil InterContinental Westlake Hanoi. Day 3 HANOI Visit the traditional, stilted home of Ho Chi Minh and One Pillar Pagoda, within the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum complex, as well as Hỏa Lò Prison (also known as the Hanoi Hilton ) during your morning city tour. After an included lunch, step into a cyclo for an exciting tour of the colonial area, ending your afternoon with a traditional water puppet show. This evening, enjoy a Northern Vietnamese Welcome Dinner with complimentary wine at one of Hanoi s most charming establishments, while a famous Vietnamese band provides traditional, live music. 5 Angkor, a UNESCO World Heritage Site Angkor is one of the most important archaeological sites in Southeast Asia. Stretching 248+ sq. miles, Angkor Archaeological Park contains the magnificent remains of the different capitals of the Khmer Empire, from the 9th to the 15th century. They include the famous Temple of Angkor Wat and, at Angkor Thom, the Bayon Temple and Ta Prohm Temple. Day 5 SIEM REAP You ll begin your day at Angkor Wat, the most recognizable landmark in Cambodia, and the largest religious monument in the world, with the longest continuous bas-relief sculpture in existence, before enjoying lunch at a local Khmer restaurant. Tour the city center of Siem Reap by tuk tuk (motorcycle rickshaw), this afternoon for an introduction to Siem Reap s many dining and shopping options, and a stop at a traditional artists workshop. (B/L) ANGKOR WAT Day 6 SIEM REAP This morning, you ll visit Banteay Srey, considered to be the pinnacle of artistic achievement at Angkor, and Banteay Samré. In the afternoon, you ll see the temple of Ta Prohm, which has been overtaken by the jungle, with tentaclelike tree roots spilling over centuriesold walls and roofs, enveloping much of the structure. This evening, guests will enjoy a private dinner with Apsara show at a local venue. (B/D) SIEM REAP NIGHT MARKET Day 7 SIEM REAP / KAMPONG CHAM / EMBARKATION This morning s excursion encompasses the south gate of Angkor Thom, once the capital of the Khmer empire, and the pyramid temple of Bayon with its iconic carved heads, rumored to be faces of King Jayavarman VII. The morning ends with a walk around Baphuon Temple, the Terrace of the Elephants, and the moss-encrusted Terrace of the Leper King. After your tour, return to the hotel to refresh and check out. Enjoy a boxed snack while you travel to Kampong Cham, where you will board the intimate Mekong Navigator. 6 Day 8 Day 9 WAT HANCHEY / KAMPONG CHAM This morning, you visit a local, secondary school, which serves eight surrounding districts. Following a tour of the school and an interesting Q&A opportunity with the principal and students, you walk up the hill to the temple of Wat Hanchey and receive a traditional Buddhist water blessing from the monastery s resident monks. After a peaceful walk around the monastery, we descend the massive, concrete stairway, surrounded by the incredible view of the Mekong River below, and return to the ship for lunch. Following lunch, you enjoy a drive through the city of Kampong Cham to visit the hills of Phnom Pros (man hill) and Phnom Srei (woman hill), the incredible stupa, the 10-meter long reclining Buddha, and the 13-meter tall preaching Buddha. Today s final visit is to the 12th century, Angkorian-period complex of Wat Nokor Bachey, which features several original Buddha statues and stone inscriptions. After your return to the ship, begin your sail down the Mekong. (B/L/D). TONLE SAP RIVER CRUISE / KAMPONG CHHNANG Enjoy a full day of sailing on the scenic Tonle Sap River. This very narrow, winding river provides a rare, up-close glimpse of rural river life in Cambodia. After lunch, you board a private excursion boat for a panoramic cruise of the floating villages at Kampong Chhnang, observing the friendly locals living, working, and even shopping on the river. Upon our return to the ship, we sail back downstream on the Tonle Sap, enjoying the beautiful sunset, while local children on the riverbanks bid us farewell as we make our way back to the mighty Mekong. (B/L/D) TRADITIONAL BUDDHIST WATER BLESSING Day 10 PHNOM PENH / OVERNIGHT After breakfast on board this morning, meet your cyclo driver for an exciting city tour of Phnom Penh. You are transported by your driver along the riverfront to the Royal Palace complex, where you enjoy a leisurely walk through the grounds, viewing Throne Hall and Moonlight Pavilion, before visiting the famous Silver Pagoda, home of Cambodia s Emerald Buddha and Maitreya Buddha encrusted with more than 9,000 diamonds. Return to your cyclo for the short ride to the National Museum, ending the morning with a comprehensive tour of the many Angkorian and pre-angkorian period artifacts excavated at the Angkor Temple complex at Siem Reap. TONLE SAP RIVER FLOATING MARKET During your free afternoon in Phnom Penh, you may choose one of our optional excursions, or simply enjoy your time exploring Phnom Penh independently shopping, sightseeing or relaxing in one of the city s many wonderful restaurants or pubs. 8 TOWER OVERLOOKING MEKONG RIVER, WAT-HANCHEY BUDDHIST-MONASTERY Before dinner, children entertain you on the Sun Deck with a cultural performance including Apsara, Cambodia s national dance, and local, traditional folk dances. 7 The WATER HYACINTH Along the Mekong River, a common sight is the Water Hyacinth. For centuries, the resourceful people of the Mekong Delta have learned to utilize every piece and incarnation of the plant. They use the leaves as plates, and as a supplement to cattle feed. Locals weave the stems into useful items that can be sold in local markets, including mats for sleeping or sitting and baskets used when harvesting rice, fruits, and vegetables; or into decorative items sold in shops as far away as Saigon. Day 11 PHNOM PENH After a scenic 45-minute drive, you arrive at the Cheoung Ek Killing Fields, and have the opportunity to walk through the fields and visit the small Memorial Stupa. You may also wish to take time to visit the small Genocidal Center Museum and learn more about the atrocities committed during the Khmer Rouge regime. On your return to the ship, you will stop at Tuol Sleng, a former school converted into the Khmer Rouge s infamous prison and torture center known as S-21. You ll enjoy one last free afternoon in Phnom Penh, before setting sail this evening to cross the border of Cambodia and Vietnam. (B/L/D) Day 12 BORDER CROSSING / TAN CHAU, VIETNAM This morning you will spend a few hours processing through immigration before continuing downstream to Tan Chau, Vietnam. Experience vastly different ways of life along the Mekong Delta today when sampans sail to a temple of the Cao Dai religion, one of the unique amalgam religions founded in Vietnam in an effort to stop the fighting between various faiths. Enjoy a 15-minute ride on a xe loi (local Vietnamese tuk-tuk), to a family-owned mat weaving workshop, before returning to the sampans to visit a floating fish farm and to walk through a local village on Evergreen Island. (B/L/D) Day 13 CHILDREN NEAR SA DEC SA DEC / CAI BE After breakfast, arrive near Sa Dec where Vietnamese sampans take you along narrow, scenic canals of the Mekong, observing daily routines of the villagers en route to the historic town of Sa Dec. You ll stop at a local brick factory where you can view the process of brick making by local men and women utilizing clay from the Mekong River. TEMPLE OF CAO DAI Continue into the town of Sa Dec, where a short visit will be made to the home of Mr. Hyun Thuy Le, who inspired Marguerite Duras novel, L Amant (The Lover) before enjoying a fascinating walk through the town s market, experiencing the sights and smells of the fresh fruits and vegetables, meat, and seafood. LOCAL MARKET SA DEC 10 VILLAGE LIFE Following lunch you re-join your friendly sampan crews for a sail past Cai Be s beautiful French gothic cathedral, stopping to tour the historic An Kiet House with its beautiful surrounding gardens, before continuing to a traditional rice factory where workers produce rice paper, rice wine, popped rice, and many varieties of traditional candies. Afterwards, return to the ship, where your final shipboard cocktail reception is followed by a traditional Vietnamese dinner. (B/L/ Reception/Farewell Dinner) CITY HALL HO CHI MINH CITY 11

8 Day 14 MY THO / DISEMBARKATION HO CHI MINH CITY After breakfast, guests bid farewell to the Mekong Navigator and her amazing crew, and transfer to Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. After a stop at your home for the next two nights, the tranquil Intercontinental Asiana Saigon, your city tour begins with the incredible French colonial architecture at Notre Dame Cathedral and the Central Post Office, followed by a visit to the Reunification Palace and War Remnants Museum. Enjoy the rest of the afternoon and evening at your leisure to explore the city. (B) Day 15 HO CHI MINH CITY After a scenic drive outside Ho Chi Minh City, you will find the astonishing system of underground passages known as the Cu Chi Tunnels, which stretch to the Cambodian border. Following an above-ground tour of the area, learning about life in the tunnels, and an opportunity to enter a small section of the tunnels, you return to the city for lunch at one of Saigon s excellent restaurants, with time to explore the city on your own in the afternoon. A farewell dinner with complimentary wine at a renowned restaurant ends your Indochina adventure. You will often find her venturing into the countryside to meet families, distribute rice, and deliver medical supplies. Her goal is to ensure families in need of clean water are placed on her priority list for fresh-water wells. She also works at the local school owned and operated by FKC, teaching critical English, computer, and sewing skills to the children. Ms. Theaney s hard work in building FKC deserves our respect, and most of all, our support. For purposes of this Agreement, Contact Information shall mean a passenger s full name, passport number, address, telephone number (land and mobile), electronic mail address and emergency contact information and any other information as requested by Haimark Affinity Travel Haimark Affinity Travel must be able to reach each passenger s emergency contact at any time of day. Haimark Affinity Travel must, therefore, be provided with all information to allow Haimark Affinity Travel to do so (such information should include the name, address, electronic mail address (if available) and phone number (including a cell phone number if available) of a parent, guardian, spouse, domestic partner, or other person to contact in the event of an emergency. No passenger will be allowed to embark a Haimark Affinity Travel vessel unless Haimark Affinity Travel has received and cleared all information. PROGRAM TARIFF 2016 program fares cover certain shipboard services including: suite accommodations, shore excursions, onboard meals and entertainment, complimentary beverages aboard ship (including select free-flow house wines for dinner, and locally produced spirits and beer, soda, water, coffee and tea throughout the cruise). All fares are quoted in US dollars, are per guest and based on double occupancy. Included in your tariff: hotel accommodations, internal air flights, excursions and meals as per the itinerary. Not included in your cruise tariff are: international airfare (unless participating in complimentary air program) additional hotel accommodations, optional excursions, meals ashore, shipboard and Tour Manager gratuities, port charges, imported mineral waters and sodas, fuel surcharges, laundry (laundry is included for Grande and Prestige suites), purchases from the ship boutique or any item or service of a personal nature such as medical care, massages and spa treatments. Champagne, premium wine and spirit selections are not included in your fare and may not be AFFINITY MARKET SPONSORS Affinity Market Sponsors are considered to be the agent of Passenger and not of Carrier. Carrier is not liable for any representation, act or omission of Passenger s travel agent. Passenger s cruise fare is not considered paid until Carrier receives full payment, and the amount thereof is subject to change at any time prior to Carrier s receipt of payment. Passenger shall at all times remain liable to Carrier for the price of passage.
