1 2 nd to 8 th April 2012: Celebrity Millennium Cruise Our first ever District Conference Cruise will depart Miami on Monday 2 nd April at 4.30pm and travel to Roatan in Honduras. Located between the islands of Útila and Guanaja, the English and Spanish spent many centuries squabbling over Isle de Roatán - the largest of Honduras' Bay Islands. Situated near the Mesoamerican Barrier Reef, the largest barrier reef in the Caribbean Sea, Roatán has become an important cruise ship and scuba diving destination. We then travel to Cozumel in Mexico, located 12 miles east of the Yucatan Peninsula and Mexico's largest Atlantic island. The Maya are believed to have first settled Cozumel by the early part of the 1st millennium AD and a plaque at the Museo Cozumel states that Abraham Lincoln, an American president, came close to purchasing the island as a place to send freed slaves. In between shore excursions and enjoyment of all the other activities the cruise ship has to offer, Rotarians will be engaged in dynamic and relevant training, including PETS and Assembly. We shall then disembark in Miami on the 8 th April. To learn more about the Millennium, visit ips/ship.do?shipcode=ml Rotary District 7030 has reserved ninety-nine (99) cabins: Thirty (30) Inside double occupancy Forty (40) Ocean View double occupancy Twenty nine (29) Balcony double occupancy Bookings will be taken on a first-come, first-served basis. A deposit of USD ONE HUNDRED AND FIFTY DOLLARS (US$150) per delegate (Rotarians and non- Rotarians) must be made no later than 30 th July Booking details will be provided soon. It is important to note that our Rotary training will be scheduled according to RI guidelines and to provide Rotarians with balanced enjoyment of both the cruise experience and Rotary training and fellowship. Attendance in PETS is compulsory for Incoming Club Presidents. COME CRUISING WITH DISTRICT 7030!!! 10
