2 We set new standards! As a manufacturer of highly complex systems in medical technology our responsibility every day is to provide you as a surgeon with a dependable and precise tool to perform your interventions on patients. We are setting new standards with the introduction of our new generation of modular forceps and scissors. When the new system was developed, we deliberately focused on the areas of safety and hygiene, alongside ergonomic design and product quality. For example, our sheaths are provided with a high-quality layer of insulation made of Halar. This offers many advantages over conventional insulations, such as shrink tubing. When shrink tubing is used there is no strong bonding between the shrink sleeve and the supporting metal and there are often small gaps between the metal and plastic. These gaps can increase with time or with damage and provide the ideal situation for the proliferation of bacteria and microbes. The new Halar coating at Wolf fuses the plastic coating to the bare metal sheath on to which it is bonded. There are no gaps below the coating and the coating cannot become loose. The extreme corrosion and temperature resistance and the excellent "non stick" properties of our special coating enable us to achieve the highest safety and hygiene standards. The result is an generation that is impressive in all aspects and will inspire you: The system offers a large range of different combination options between handles, sheaths, and jaw inserts. The system provides you as a surgeon with the opportunity to design a complete from individual components that is most appropriate for your needs. Our 5mm s are supplied in three different working lengths and they meet the requirements for use in different groups of patient: Uses range from pediatrics ( ), through the standard length ( ), to applications in overweight patients ( ). We have created an ergonomic design for our handle that takes into account a very wide range of applications, as well as individual sizes of hands and fingers. Wide supporting surfaces at sensitive points, optimum operation of the rotation wheel, precise grasping and manipulation, as well as a sensitive switch-activated lock which can be used by right or left handed operators are features of our handle. 2

3 Laparoscopy Our generation is based on our proven and safe mechanical system with non-protruding articulated parts for connecting the jaw insert and sheath. The mechanical system for the joint of the jaw insert is completely covered by the distal end of the shaft and this positively excludes the possibility of undesirable injuries caused by inadvertently pinching any tissue. Our new "Click-It" quick connect lock technology enables the generation to make a substantial contribution to streamlined procedures in the operating room and in individual sterilization departments. The intuitive quick connect lock system operates entirely without complicated mechanisms and can be activated safely and reliably at all times. 3
