13 AGE RESTRICTIONS CAMPS AND LODGES In general, the Wilderness Safaris camps have a minimum age restriction of providing all activities are booked paid for on a private basis when children between 12 are travelling. The exceptions to this are: Jacana Camp North Isl - there is no age restriction at these camps/lodges. Zarafa minimum age restriction of 8 The Wilderness Adventures camps have a minimum age of in wildlife areas whereas camps in desert, lakeshore or beach areas welcome children of all ages. The Wilderness Adventures camps promote family travel shared activities guests with children need not book private activities. The minimum age requirement for activities in all camps for both the Wilderness Safaris Wilderness Adventures brs are as follows: Boating ; scuba diving 8 in the pool 10 in the sea; canoeing, mokoro excursions walks 12 ; quad biking 12 in South Africa 1 in Namibia. Notes for Wilderness Safaris camps: Our primary concerns when hosting children in our camps are safety guest satisfaction. We do believe that these age restrictions are important to experience. Please respect this policy. When booking sole use of any of the camps, the minimum age restriction does not apply. The prime responsibility for the safety of children travelling in our camps lies with the parent/guardian they must be accompanied by an adult at all times especially when on boardwalks pathways or around the camp fire or pool. Children must share a room with at least one adult. Bookings with children 12 younger can only be confirmed if a private vehicle/guide are available have been booked for activities. This is not applicable: o where the size of the family comprises of guests as this would qualify for sole use of a vehicle, or o where the camp has been booked on an exclusive basis, or o for guests are on North Isl where this service is not applicable When booking a private vehicle/guide for this purpose it cannot automatically be assumed that the booking will have exclusive use. Depending on occupancy dem, the vehicle might be shared between more than one booking with children in these age brackets in these cases the charge levied for the private vehicle will be split proportionately over the bookings. Should a family desire sole use of the activities, this must be specified at the time of booking will be subject to availability will be charged accordingly. There are no formal child care services in our camps (Toka Leya is an exception to this) thus children must be under the care of their parent/s /or guardians at all times.

14 Notes for Wilderness Adventures camps: The minimum ages in camps located in wildlife areas are there to ensure the safety of all guests. EXPLORATIONS AND SCHEDULED GUIDED SAFARIS Age Limits Children from the age of 12 are welcome on all scheduled departures. For parties with children under 12, a private tailor-made safari is suggested gladly quoted for on request. FAMILY POLICIES Wilderness Safaris does offer family rooms child discounts at some of their camps in Botswana, Malawi, Namibia, South Africa, Zambia Zimbabwe - please note the following when making a booking: 1. In order to protect conserve the environment, the Botswana L Board has restrictions as to the number of nightly guests allowed in a concession, to which we fully prescribe. These restrictions are a condition of our tender agreement need to be strictly adhered to. Please note that as a family room can accommodate more than 2 guests, we may sometimes reach these concession limits prior to filling all the rooms in the camp. There is often only one family unit available at each camp the family discounted bookings are therefore subject to availability of this unit. 2. There is a minimum age policy regarding childre 3. 16 Wilderness Safaris: Botswana: Jacana camp: Children of all ages sharing with their parents/family as a triple share will receive a 33% discount off the existing adult nightly camp rate. All other Botswana camps: Children between 12 sharing with their parents/family in the family unit will receive a 33% discount off the existing adult nightly camp rate. Zarafa camp: Children 8 older pay the applicable adult rates. Wilderness Adventures: Botswana: Kalahari Plains Camp Banoka Bush Camp: Children between 12 sharing with their parents/family in the family unit/s will receive the applicable child rate. FAMILY ROOMS: 1. Chitabe Lediba The Family Units (there are 2 family units here but remember we cannot exceed total bed count in the concession of 24 guests between trails main camps) each is able to sleep 4 max comfortably. The second bedroom is attached to the main "parent tent" they share a bathroom. The "parent" tent has a four poster double bed the adjoining tent has two ¾ sized beds. Both units are on raised decks with extended decks out the front with a private dining room table chairs. We are able to do separate dinners at the family units upon request. 2. DumaTau The Family Unit is 2 adjoining rooms. There is a door to the side of the bathroom that leads into the second room. They share one bathroom there is only a door separation. The maximum you can sleep in it is 2 adults 2 kids comfortably as the room is a bit small for 3 beds. 3. Vumbura Plains Each of the 2 family units consists of two bedrooms (which are separate at opposite ends of the deck so they are quite private). The main room is exactly the same as all the stard units i.e. it has a bedroom, sunken lounge, open bathroom etc. The second room is smaller (about a third of the size of the main unit which is huge) does not have its own lounge. But it is furnished to a similar stard has two single beds with an en suite bathroom behind. The two rooms share a private deck, pool, sala etc. The only difference is in the size the lack of own lounge 4. Jao The Family Room comprises of two joining rooms. Basically the walkway leads up to an open hall way, the kids room goes off to the one side the main room to the othe a third bed can be put in (but will be very cramped) it has an on to the deck in front, both have sliding / folding doors to access the front deck sala. (Please note that the family room is at the opposite end of camp to the Double rooms at Jao so please do not book part of your family in a Family room part of it in a Double room as they will be far away almost a kilometre away from each other in the camp during their stay!)

17 5. Seba They have extended an existing twin to now accommodate a family of four. The second room is en -suite with a bath/shower also has an upstairs room with a pull out couch. A small plunge pool is available on the extended deck overlooking the lagoon in front with a spit for the children to play in. (At the moment they do not want us to book this unit for 4 adults as they are still waiting for l board to approve the increased concession numbers in writing so only use this children under 12 please. Once they get the written confirmation that they can go to 12 people now they will let us book this for 4 adults no reduced rates as it is still 2 separate rooms they get the bonus of their own plunge pool the intention of building it in the first place! Also the 2 rooms are right next to each other so then you need to be sure the 4 adults know each other really well since privacy becomes a factor).. Little Vumbura The family unit comprises two rooms, one much smaller than the other, with a lockable sliding door separating them, as well as two separate entrances. The extra room has its own toilet shower. The main room leads onto the deck, but the extra room does not- access to the deck off the front of the room is through the main room only. Maximum 2 adults 2 kids. 7. Savuti The family unit comprises two rooms, one much smaller than the other, with an interleading door between them. Separate access into each room is also possible from the front decks of the rooms. The smaller room has its own toilet shower. Maximum 2 kids 2 adults. Compatibility of Camps There are certain camps that cannot be sold together in one itinerary. Although the experiences in many of the camps change according to the time of the year, the general rule of thumb is if they are in the same area you cannot sell them together. The only reason why two camps cannot be sold together is because of similarity of experience habitat.
