4 2. LAUNDRY SOAP Soap for laundry use/ hand washing clothes. Made from animal or vegetable fat. It might be in bar/ powder/ liquid. Fatty acid: Min. 70%. Moisture: Max. 20% at the time of packing. NaOH content: Max. 0.2%. NaCl content: Max. 0.5%. Mercury: No mercury content. 4

SANITARY NAPKIN Sanitary napkins (sanitary pads), in straight and regular style, cottony top sheet for comfort, special embossing on top sheet make the liquid seep fast into absorbency core, preventing side leakage, high capacity absorbent polymers, with breathable bottom film and adhesive strip, Width: Thin or Ultra-thin Absorption: Super absorbent that locks the liquid in the pad Wings: With stretch zones to help pad stay in place Layers: Dry top layer for clean and dry protection Sizes: In different sizes as follows: a) For Normal Flow b) Medium to Heavy Flow c) Heavy to Extra Flow 5

6 4. DIAPERS Baby and adult diapers made of washable, easy to clean cloth synthetic (or disposable materials. Disposable diapers must contain absorbent chemicals). 7 5. WOMEN UNDERWEAR A set of garment for females over the skin as the first layer, underneath their clothing. Set might include depending on the location: the bra, briefs and/or stocking of different sizes (i.e. S, M, L, XL, and XXL) and assorted colours. Acceptable fabrics: Made of 100% cotton, breathing material preventing infections, no lace or elastic directly on the body as it may rub in the heat. 7

8 6. HYGIENE KITS Hygiene Kits are to be used in case of poor hygienic conditions in order to reduce exposure to contagious diseases or any health hazards. Exact contents of any hygiene kit will depend on specific circumstances and might contain 1 : Personal Hygiene Soap for laundry and personal hygiene Water collection and storage containers Washable/disposable sanitary towels for women Underwear for women and men (and children where appropriate) Washable nappies for babies Potties for young children Bedpans/urinals for those with disabilities Anal cleansing containers Razor blades, nail clippers, combs, shampoo Toothbrushes and toothpaste Insecticide Treated Nets ORS sachets Plastic bucket Detergent and dishwashing liquid Communal Hygiene Tools and equipment for digging and/or cleaning latrines or digging drainage (e.g. shovels, picks, wheelbarrows, buckets, boots etc.) 2 1 Each situation must be judged according to accepted norms and considerations of health and safety. 2 Please note that these are only indications of the projected requirements. 9 7. OFFICE SUPPLY Different office related professional items including office stationary (e.g. pens, folders, and staplers), office paper, black/white boards, and presentation materials. 10 8. FOAM MATTRESS Vacuum-packed foam mattresses for sleeping/ resting purposes. It is made of polyurethane foam, covered with washable and removable synthetic or cotton material, easily transportable. Size: 190*80*10 cm (L*W*H) (Indicative) Colour: To be determined Density: Kg/m3 10

11 9. RIGID JERRY CANS Rigid, round shaped jerry cans to carry and store drinking water for personal consumption and hygienic purposes. Material is hard plastic, item is non-collapsible. Volumetric capacity is to be determined. 11

12 10. CONSTRUCTION MATERIALS Construction materials will be used to create and assemble buildings and structures. Construction materials may consist and not be restricted to the following list of items: Timber, gum poles; iron sheets; roofing nails; ordinary nails; ceiling nails; ridge caps; plain sheet; hinges & screws; bolt & screws; cement; barbed wire; wood preservative. 12

13 11. HEATING STOVES Wood burning efficient steel stove and heater. The design is adapted to fit UNHCR Family Tent and other type of shelter structures, which should have an appropriate chimney opening. Material: 2 mm steel. Enamel or galvanized finishing is accepted. Stand welded to the Stove. Includes: Loading door and air intake control Stand, welded to the stove. Outlet to fit with 100 mm pipes Weight of the stove without accessories: 16kg +/- 1kg Supplied with: 6 chimney pipes made of galvanised steel, anti-rust. 2 bend connectors made of steel. 1 out let cover pointed cap shape. 1 spark stopper, dimension height 180 mm, outer diameter 300 mm & inner plate of 180 mm dimeter. 1 ash removing bar. 1 tripod pipe stand to keep the smoke pipe standing up outside the tent, supported with 3 x 6 mm guy ropes. Supplied with 2 clamps, 3 ground pins for stand support & 3 pegs for guy ropes. 1 assembly instruction sheet. 1 spanner. 13

14 12. COOKING STOVES Small, portable stainless steel stoves used for cooking purposes. Fuel: liquid ethanol or any other environmental friendly fuel is allowed. The stoves are provided of handles for easy transport. 14

15 13. AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEMS Wall-mounted or portable cooling device used to reduce and control the air temperature and/or humidity in indoor spaces. It may also provide ventilation. Installation types may include: - Wall-mounted: one or more indoor units served by an outdoor unit, typically fixed on the wall - Window unit: installed in an open window (indoor and outdoor parts form one unit) - Portable: in one unit for easy transport and mobility 15
