HIKE + BIKE The Western Waterfront Trail provides nearly five miles of accessible trails along the banks of the St. Louis River and is the starting point of the Willard Munger Trail, a 70-mile paved stretch considered among the most scenic in the LINCOLN PARK CRAFT DISTRICT A thriving business district has sprung up along West Superior Street. 16 FIND IT ON THE LAKEWALK Take a stroll along the shores of the greatest of the Great Lakes. Beginning at Bayfront Festival Park, the Lakewalk extends nearly 8 miles and follows the shoreline all the way to Brighton Beach BAYFRONT FESTIVAL PARK Located on the Harbor, the park features a covered stage and frequently hosts festivals, concerts and events. Kids will enjoy spending time at Duluth s largest playground, Playfront THE AERIAL LIFT BRIDGE Built in 1905, the Aerial Lift Bridge is Duluth s most recognizable landmark. 17 LEIF ERIKSON PARK + THE DULUTH ROSE GARDEN The Lakewalk passes through Leif Erikson park, a beautiful natural area that extends to the Duluth Rose Garden. The garden features more than 3,000 rose bushes and other flowers, as well as a marble gazebo and benches offering scenic views of Lake Superior. STAY CONNECTED The Lakewalk connects to city sidewalks, so you can explore unique shops, excellent dining options and easy access to hotels and area attractions all along the 1 2 PICK A ROUTE A great way to explore the city is to walk along Superior Street to the Rose Garden. Take one of many downtown entrances to the Lakewalk and travel back to Canal Park along the shoreline. DIVE RIGHT IN The water is chilly, but very refreshing on a warm summer afternoon.
