INDIANA S.W.I.S.H. Girls U-13/7 th Grade Team 3 Whitney Malin 5 6 Wood Memorial 5 Lindsey Howes 5 7 Pike Central 11 Taylor Stevenson 5 5 E. Richland, IL 13 Nicole Perry 5 7 North Posey 15 Jessica Mason 5 5 North Posey 21 Morgan Stierley 5 0 North Posey 23 Kaylee Durchholz 5 7 North Posey 25 Arianna Weare 5 8 Evansville Central 31 Abbey Howes 5 8 Princeton 33 Magan Eck 5 3 Vincennes Lincoln 35 Kirstan Thuftedal 5 8 E. Richland, IL Greg Rawski Long list of coaches need to keep G Raw in line! First year Coach Rawski spent a lot of time and energy working with this group on player development and game instruction. They won a Gym Rats IBA Regional as well as a few other local events, but did not find that same success on the National Stage. By finishing the year with a record and then played in the EBA High School League, this group gained a great deal of experience that will surely benefit them as they progress into their high school careers. Look for the majority of them to return one of our teams again this upcoming year and continue to grow into same of the areas stronger players.
INDIANA S.W.I.S.H. Girls U-14/8 th Grade Team 2 Tara Wornica 5 2 Pike Central 4 Lyndi Collins 5 2 Heritage Hills 10 Alissa Schenk 5 2 Mater Dei 11 Kendra Kopatich 5 4 Mt. Vernon 12 Sarah Thomas 5 3 Gibson Southern 14 Andi Seavers 5 6 Castle 20 Alex Weisman 5 4 Pike Central 22 Victoria Brocksmith 5 3 Vincennes Rivet 24 Lyndsi Woolems 5 6 Heritage Hills 30 Katie Schmidt 5 10 Mt. Vernon 32 Kelsie Linneweber 5 8 Gibson Southern 34 Brittany McBride 5 5 Heritage Hills 45 Rachel Kohlman 5 9 Evansville North Stu O berg Tom Collins To no one s surprise, this team continued their winning ways, despite the fact that several new faces were added to this team this past year. Compiling a record with several tournament titles including the Gym Rats IBA Regional and repeating their State AAU Regional Title. At least 8 of these players will be seeing varsity time as freshmen this upcoming year. Expect to see some changes next year, as we maybe looking to add some older players to this team and have them play up a division.
INDIANA S.W.I.S.H. Girls U-15 Grade Team 00 Katie Ruthenburg 5 6 Evansville Reitz 3 Demi Wendt 5 9 Daviess Co., KY 5 Kourtney Bryant 5 5 Evansville Reitz 12 Kelsi Purdy 5 8 Daviess Co., KY 15 Camille Andrews 5 6 Lawrenceville, IL 20 Kelsey Jobe 5 5 Madison-N. Hopkins, KY 23 Keyaira Jones 5 5 Evansville Harrison 30 Jessica Pate 5 8 North Posey 34 Gwendolyn Montague 5 8 Evansville Harrison 42 Kristen Hart 5 11 Evansville Reitz Scott Hettenbach Although we were not planning on having a team at this age level, after seeing them tryouts for the older teams we knew this was too good of an opportunity to pass up. This mostly young and inexperienced group worked hard and improved a ton this past summer. Coach Hettenbach did a great job on working on individual skills and balancing team play. All of these players will be playing varsity this year and most owe it to their development from this past year. We entered this team in all the same events that our older teams traveled to therefore they were playing at a level that many of them had not seen before. Completing their season with a record was a great accomplishment considering most of them had no prior varsity or AAU experience and the fact that they simply did not know each other. We look forward to watch them continue to grow over the next few years.
INDIANA S.W.I.S.H. Girls U-16 Green Team # Name Hgt. High School 1 Ashley Prince 6 2 Owensboro Sr., KY 2 Hayley Kennard 5 7 Mt. Carmel, IL 11 Kelci Williamson 5 3 Mt. Carmel, IL 12 Hannah Doss 5 9 Vincennes Lincoln 24 Morgan Wheat 5 9 Fairfield, IL 25 Whitley Wilhite 5 8 Daviess Co., KY 33 Misty Wynn 5 11 Boonville 34 Hollie Anson 5 8 S. Knox 35 Kaiti Cochren 6 6 Wood Memorial 52 Taylor Epley 6 1 Castle 54 Keely Wilhite 6 3 Wood Memorial Assistants: Bob Barrett Tom Wilson and Leah Stormont Several new players were added to this year s team and Coach Barrett spent the beginning of the year getting all the new players adapt to his defensive style of play. They played in a pair of NCAA certified events in Nashville and St. Louis as well as Bellville, IL, Clarksville, TN, and a regional tournament in Louisville. They completed their year with a and 3 second place finishes. All of these girls are varsity starters and the majority of them are All Conference players who lead their school teams. We expect that as many as 5 of them may continue to play after their school careers end. With only a few underclassmen returning, several positions will be available next year.
INDIANA S.W.I.S.H. Girls U-16 White Team # Name Hgt. High School 5 Abby Jo McKee 6 0 N. Daviess 11 Brittany Craney 5 6 Pike Central 12 McKenna Williams 5 7 N. Knox 13 Paige Tinsley 5 11 Evansville North 20 Kaira Butler 5 8 Evansville Harrison 31 Megan Davis 5 11 Pike Central 32 Ashley Alvey 5 7 North Posey 33 Kelsey Burk 5 8 Evansville Central 34 Megan Effinger 5 11 Evansville Central Steve Williams Kwan Butler This very talented group of players not only gained a great deal of exposure to college coaches but gained the respect of a lot of teams throughout the Midwest. Although not near a big as the majority of the teams they faced, they made up for it with great team play, hard work, and executing under pressure. Having played in 7 events, winning 4 of them, and finishing with a 24-8 record, you can expect them to take that same type of success onto their respective school teams. We look forward to see them complete their senior year and anticipate seeing at least 5 of them continuing to play in college.
