You can test drive potential canine hiking partners to see how they behave on leash and get along with other dogs, while learning about trail etiquette and safety. Owned, friendly, leashed dogs that are at least six months old and current on their vaccinations are welcome to join this onemile trek on our scenic, groomed, Merkle Trail. 11 Good Food Recipe: Holiday Cooking Christmas Cookie Recipes By San Tan Times and AllRecipes.com This weeks recipes are provided by All Recipes.com. We will be focusing on holiday cookies, because, whether you celebrate Christmas or not, these holiday cookies are tasty! Soft Christmas Cookies Recipe by: Georgie Bowers Soft cut out sugar cookie that I have used for years. I sprinkle with colored sugar before baking or you could also try icing them when cool satisfy your sweet tooth while keeping you on track with your health. Ingredients 3 3/4 cups allpurpose flour 1 teaspoon baking powder1/2 teaspoon salt 1 cup margarine, softened 1 1/2 cups white sugar2 eggs2 teaspoons vanilla extract 2 eggs 2 teaspoons vanilla extract hours. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C). Grease cookie sheets. On a clean floured surface, roll out small portions of chilled dough to 1/4 inch thickness. Cut out shapes using cookie cutters. Bake 6 to 8 minutes in the preheated oven, or until edges are barely brown. Remove from cookie sheets to cool on wire racks. Tip Aluminum foil can be used to keep food moist, cook it evenly, and make cleanup easier. Nutrition Facts Per Serving: 97 calories; 4 g fat; 13.8 g carbohydrates; 1.3 g protein; 8 mg cholesterol; 81 mg sodium. 13 Good Food Recipe: Holiday Cooking Christmas Cookie Recipes Continued from page 11 Raspberry and Almond Shortbread Thumbprints Recipe by: Dee Shortbread thumbprint cookie filled with raspberry jam, and drizzled with glaze. Ingredients 1 cup butter, softened 2/3 cup white sugar 1/2 teaspoon almond extract2 cups allpurpose flour 1/2 cup seedless raspberry jam 1/2 cup confectioners sugar 3/4 teaspoon almond extract 1 teaspoon milk Mix in 1/2 teaspoon almond extract. Mix in flour until dough comes together. Roll dough into 1 1/2 inch balls, and place on ungreased cookie sheets. Make a small hole in the center of each ball, using your thumb and finger, and fill the hole with preserves. Bake for 14 to 18 minutes in preheated oven, or until lightly browned. Let cool 1 minute on the cookie sheet. In a medium bowl, mix together the confectioners sugar, 3/4 teaspoon almond extract, and milk until smooth. Drizzle lightly over warm cookies. Tip Aluminum foil can be used to keep food moist, cook it evenly, and make cleanup easier. 16 Hunt and Ultra Request ACC Dismiss Affiliation Case By The United Citizens Clean Air Clean Water Car Show This Weekend Freddy s Car Show Returns Hunt and Ultra file Motion to Dismiss in relation to the ACC s accusation that JU, Hunt and Ultra Management violated the ACC Affiliation rule. The ACC is going after Ultra and Hunt Management for violating the ACC s affiliation rule with Johnson Utilities. According to the ACC, JU never received authorization from the ACC to allow contracts between Ultra, Hunt and JU In which nearly $80 million dollars has been transferred to Ultra Management no record of services/improvements to the Johnson Utilities failing infrastructure that is threatening the public and environment. All three entities fall under PineTop Trust which George Johnson is a trustee. Hunt and Ultra is managemed by George Johnson s son and daughter, Chris and Barbara Johnson. The ACC has declared that all money transferred to Ultra and Hunt that was not providing any value to JU should be returned to JU to assist with infrastructure improvements. Hunt and Ultra argue that the ACC has no jurisdiction over Hunt/Ultra and should dismiss the case.
