The scheme works, with young Ohio teenager Kim McAfee declared the winner, but no one has counted on the jealous wrath of her boyfriend. The Tempest Thursday-Sunday 8 PM at Maplewood Barn Theatre. The Tempest is set on a remote island, where Prospero, rightful Duke of Milan, has become a powerful magician. He conjures up a storm, the eponymous tempest, to cause his usurping sister Antonia and the complicit King Alonso of Naples to believe they are shipwrecked and marooned on the island. There, his machinations bring about the revelation of Antonia s lowly nature, the redemption of the King, and the marriage of Miran to Alonso s daughter, Fernanda. 5 MOVIE GUIDE ACTION POINT - D.C. is the crackpot owner of Action Point -- a low-rent, out-of-control amusement park where the rides are designed with minimum safety for maximum fun. Just as his estranged daughter Boogie comes to visit, a corporate mega-park opens nearby and jeopardizes the future of Action Point. To save his beloved park and his relationship with Boogie, D.C. and his loony crew of misfits must risk everything to pull out all the stops and save the day. ADRIFT - Based on the true story of human survival, a young couple's chance encounter leads them first to love, and then on the adventure of a lifetime before they face one of the most catastrophic hurricanes in recorded history. BOOK CLUB - Diane is recently widowed after 40 years of marriage. Vivian enjoys her men with no strings attached. Sharon is still working through her decades-old divorce. Carol's marriage is in a slump after 35 years. The lives of these four friends are turned upside down after reading the infamous "50 Shades of Grey." CLUELESS - In this 1995 masterpiece, Amy Heckerling transforms Jane Austen's Emma into a delightful and witty look at ultra-rich teenagers in a Beverly Hills high school. Cher and Dionne, both named after "great singers of the past that now do infomercials," are pampered upper-class teenagers who have an innate urge to help those less fortunate. DEADPOOL 2 - Wisecracking mercenary Deadpool joins forces with three mutants to battle the all-powerful Cable. FIRST REFORMED - Reverend Ernst Toller (Ethan Hawke) is a solitary, middle-aged parish pastor at a small Dutch Reform church in upstate New York on the cusp of celebrating its 250th anniversary. Once a stop on the Underground Railroad, the church is now a tourist attraction catering to a dwindling congregation, eclipsed by its nearby parent church, Abundant Life, with its state-of-the-art facilities and 5,000-strong flock. When a pregnant parishioner (Amanda Seyfried) asks Reverend Toller to counsel her husband, a radical environmentalist, the clergyman finds himself plunged into his own tormented past, and equally despairing future, until he finds redemption in an act of grandiose violence. HEREDITARY - A family begins to unravel cryptic and increasingly terrifying secrets about its ancestry. INCREDIBLES 2 - Mr. Incredible faces his greatest challenge -- taking care of the problems of his three children. JURASSIC WORLD: FALLEN KINGDOM - When Isla Nublar s dormant volcano begins roaring to life, Owen (Chris Pratt) and Claire (Bryce Dallas Howard) mount a campaign to rescue the remaining dinosaurs from this extinction-level event. OCEAN S 8 - Five years, eight months, 12 days and counting -- that's how long Debbie Ocean has been devising the biggest heist of her life. She knows what it's going to take -- a team of the best people in the field, starting with her partner-in-crime Lou Miller. Together, they recruit a crew of specialists, including jeweler Amita, street con Constance, suburban mom Tammy, hacker Nine Ball, and fashion designer Rose. Their target -- a necklace that's worth more than $150 million. POPE FRANCIS A MAN OF HIS WORD This film is intended to be a personal journey with Pope Francis, rather than a biographical documentary about him. A rare co-production with the Vatican, the pope's ideas and his message are central to this documentary, which sets out to present his work of reform and his answers to today's global questions from death, social justice, immigration, ecology, wealth inequality, materialism, and the role of the family.
6 RBG - U.S. Supreme Court Justice Ginsburg has created a breathtaking legal legacy for women's rights while becoming an unexpected pop culture icon. The personal journey of this diminutive, quiet warrior's rise to the nation's highest court during a hostile time for women, is revealed in this inspiring and multidimensional documentary portrait. Now 85, Ginsburg refuses to relinquish her passionate duty, continues to have vigorous dissenting opinions and her exercise workouts. THE RIDER - After a tragic riding accident, young cowboy Brady (Brady Jandreau), once a rising star of the rodeo circuit, is warned that his competition days are over. Back home, Brady finds himself wondering what he has to live for when he can no longer do what gives him a sense of purpose: to ride and compete. In an attempt to regain control of his fate, Brady undertakes a search for new identity and tries to redefine his idea of what it means to be a man in the heartland of America. SHOW DOGS - A canine cop and an FBI agent work under cover at the world's most exclusive dog show in Las Vegas. SUPERFLY - Career criminal Youngblood Priest hatches a plan for a big score. TAG - One month every year, five highly competitive friends hit the ground running in a no-holds-barred game of tag they ve been playing since the first grade risking it all to take each other down with the battle cry You re It!
