Whether you do not know your pinot noir from you sauvignon blanc or you are a wine aficionado, there is something for everyone this afternoon. You will explore three of the regions finest vineyard s located in the renowned Gibbston region including a delightful platter style lunch at one of the vineyards. This will include the pioneer vineyard Gibbston Valley, visiting the wine cave, sampling the infamous Pinot Noir that the area is renowned for and learning about the local boutique winemaking process from your knowledgeable winery hosts. You will also enjoy a cheese tasting from the Gibbston Valley Cheesery. You will head to another nearby vineyard to sample their wine before a short drive through to Arrowtown where you will have some time to explore this quaint town at leisure. The Safari of the Rings tour is a scenic charter that gives a spectacular look at the diversity of the scenery in the area. It is time to delve into the historic gold-mining days and explore the absolutely stunning back country of the Queenstown area. Skippers Canyon is a unique and breath-taking part of New Zealand and tells the fascinating story of the Gold Rush which has shaped not only the landscape but also the history this part of New Zealand. Travel by 4WD into this incredible scenery: during the journey you will hear how the Skippers road itself was carved out of sheer cliff faces at the turn of the 20th Century. It s a feat of engineering with astounding views into the river gorge below. The journey will be made all the more spectacular for the snow-capped vistas and you will have a new appreciation for the hardy souls who settled this area. Take the plunge from this Department of Conservation Historic Reserve just 20 minutes from the heart of Queenstown. Forwards, backwards, by yourself or with a friend... it s up to you. This is the only Bungy in Queenstown where you can choose to bob over the water, touch it or get fully immersed. It is also Queenstown s only tandem Bungy but don t think sharing the jump means the fear is halved!
