6 04 / LEARNING Learning at Tower Bridge Enjoy immersive, hands-on workshops and guided tours delivered by our experienced Learning and Community Engagement team. Our cross-curricular learning programme for Key Stages 1-5 caters for a range of learning needs and brings the national curriculum alive. Our learning sessions take place in Tower Bridge s historic space and our learning centre. Offering added value to each school visit, these sessions are free of charge (admission charges apply). Our facilitated tours are fully accessible, with lift access to all areas of the exhibition. Our learning centre is accessed via 82 steps, please contact us for more information. How to Book For more information about a school visit and to book a workshop, contact our Learning and Community Engagement team on or by learning@towerbridge.org.uk. Workshops must be booked a minimum of two weeks in advance and are included in the normal group admission rate. Payment must be made in advance of your visit. 7 FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS / 05 Frequently Asked Questions Where is the entrance to Tower Bridge Exhibition? The ticket office is a glass fronted structure that can be found at the North West Tower of the Bridge. The tour concludes at the Engine Rooms which are situated underneath the Bridge on the south side, however, groups may also begin their tour at the Engine Rooms. A map is shown on page 08. How long will I spend at the Exhibition? We recommend allowing 1 hour to 1 hour and 30 minutes for a self-guided visit, however, you are welcome to move through at your own pace. Is it necessary to book for group visits? We do advise you to book your group visit in advance to ensure you receive the group rate and to avoid your visit clashing with any other large parties. Payment for group bookings is required at least two weeks prior to the date of visit. Can we take pictures from the Walkways? Yes, you can take pictures anywhere on the Bridge or inside the Exhibition. We have special windows that open in the Walkways so that you can take pictures without having glass in front of your camera lens. Will we see a Bridge Lift through the new Glass Floor in the Walkways? Yes, as long as you plan your visit to coincide with a Bridge Lift. All Bridge Lifts are listed on our website (www. towerbridge.org.uk/lift-times). The list is updated daily however, Bridge Lifts are subject to change. Do you have a gift shop? Yes, it is located by the Engine Rooms underneath the Bridge on the south side but can be visited at any time without partaking in a tour. Where can our coach park? There is a coach park conveniently located near the Tower of. Alternatively the driver could drop you off on Tooley Street next to the Bridge or outside the Guoman Tower Hotel. More detailed information on coach parking is included on page 13. Is there somewhere we can eat nearby? There are plenty of cafes, restaurants and pubs around Shad Thames and further along the river within Hays Galleria. Included in this pack you will find a selection of restaurants with telephone numbers so you can book in advance. Where are the toilets? There are toilets within the South Tower which are accessible once you have passed through the ticket office and up in the lift. There are also toilets in the Engine Rooms.

8 06 / FURTHER INFORMATION Preliminary Visits Tower Bridge Exhibition is happy to provide all group organisers with a complimentary ticket, in order that they may visit in advance and successfully plan their trip. Access Tower Bridge Exhibition is fully accessible to all visitors. There are lifts to take visitors to all levels in the Towers and Walkways, and the Engine Rooms are a short distance away on the south side of the Bridge. There is also a public lift to take visitors down to river level and the guide in the south tower will happily direct you on your exit. Alternatively, please ask for an Access for All guide when making your booking. Wheelchairs and foldable stools are also available for visitor use.
