2 WELCOME TO THE LONDON BRIDGE CITY ESTATE CHRISTMAS BY THE RIVER 2017 Welcome to Christmas by the River 2017 at London Bridge City operated by Tudor Markets Ltd. We are thrilled that you would like to take part in the event. If this is your first year you will not be disappointed. If you are a seasoned trader at this location, we welcome you back and look forward to an even better event than previous years. We have 7 zones, each with their own mix of traders and commodities and we would like to have even more traders than last year. We are looking for the right mix for each zone to encourage footfall and dwell time and meet the requirements of London Bridge City Estate. We have a quota available for food and drink and the rest will be arts and crafts and commodities that work for the destination and for Christmas. We value all our traders and are pleased to work with you, if this location isn t the right location for you we will be pleased to work with you to find another Christmas or regular or specialist market from across our range. This year, we are investing in additional lighting on location to ensure that the event has the draw factor it needs. We are using all spaces including the Pier and Hays Galleria and so we are keen to use additional specialist lighting and signage to activate the space. The look of every cabin is key to the success of the overall market and so as ever we will ask you to make sure your cabin looks the absolute best it can at all times. The cabin lighting will of course help to draw people in. Part of the benefit of working with this prestigious location is that this is a destination of choice for tourists, local workers and residents. To help promote the destination and attract footfall London Bridge City Estate and Tudor Markets are engaging with a PR and Marketing company to promote the overall market. We are also investigating different options for cash-less payment on the pitches as feedback from visitors and London Bridge City Estate is that more card machines are needed. Visitor spend was not as high as it could be because they were expected to pay by cash only and preferred to pay by card. We will be looking at ways to support you with this and would encourage you to look at multiple payment systems. We will be back in touch as soon as possible. We would ask that every trader helps to promote the overall event and destination. This requires all pitches to look their absolute best, traders to take part in using branded Christmas by the River materials and where possible participating in using social media. If you need help to set up your social media or to use it or would like help to review how to best promote your pitch, would be interested in cashless payment options, then let us know as soon as possible. 4 Book now for your place at one of London s most iconic locations! This year s event will take place along the riverside next to Tower Bridge. Starting from City Hall in the Scoop it continues past HMS Belfast through to Hays Galleria and London Bridge City Pier. With picturesque views across London s Thames, this is the ideal location to be this Christmas! Last year s Christmas Market at London Bridge City lights up the riverside with an array of gifts, food and entertainment! Dates & Times: A beautifully crafted wooden cabin, a decorated Christmas garland, a personalised sign, twinkly fairly lights, power and a beautiful backdrop location. MONDAY WEDNESDAY: 11AM 7PM THURSDAY-SATURDAY: 11AM 9PM SUNDAY: 11AM 7PM Location: London Bridge City, Riverside, London SE1 2DB We will have lots of festive activities in and around The stunning Hays Galleria - all lit up with thousands of sparkly fairy lights, gives a wonderful Christmassy feel! Nearest Tube: London Bridge or Tower Hill the Scoop and LBC Pier as well as the traditional giant Christmas tree and much more! All our wooden cabins have been specially made with either a full front open option or a counter event. Cabins range from 10 x 5ft to 20 x 10ft but Page our standard cabins are 10ft x 8ft 4 top. All traders must use our cabins for the entire

5 CABIN PRESENTATION We expect a high standard of cabin presentation and display of products from all of our traders. The Burger Boys won the best overall presentation award clean, tidy, attractive and well-lit cabin not forgetting the people behind the stall.we want everybody to shine!

6 SOCIAL MEDIA We had great online reviews from last year and will again be hot on all social media and marketing for this event. We also ask of ALL our traders to be on some kind of social media to promote this as well and will help the ones that are not connected, get on board. If you need any help, we have a dedicated Social Media team that will be able to assist your requirements. We will require good photos of your product and set up. This will also help when you first apply to become a trader with us as we need good quality photos in order to assess whether you will be accepted for the event. 9 FOOTFALL RESULTS Overall footfall was strong for 2015/16, with an average of more than 20,000 entering on a typical weekday, and well over 30,000 on a weekend day. The market was receiving almost 200,000 visitors every week The distribution of the customer base seems to reflect the spread of the local office population. Customers are coming from central and West London and from other suburban commuter areas (Brent, Croydon, etc.) as well as from accessible commuter towns (Rayleigh, East Grinstead etc.). Many were from overseas. This year we expect a record number of visitors to pass through the event. We will be working on extensive marketing campaigns that will increase our visibility as an event as we build on our status as one of London s premier Christmas destinations. All traders will be expected to take part in promoting this with their social media presence building visibility with their followers and helping build up interest through those channels. Page9

Please refer to map on pages 13-15). The pitches are split into Zones from 1-7. There will be a different number of cabins in each zone according to the space available in each area. Please check the individual location site plans from Zones 1 to 7 to check which zone you would like to be allocated in. Please note that this may not be guaranteed but we will work closely with you to find you the perfect location! 11 LOCATION RIVERSIDE: The riverside at London Bridge City has some of the best views that London has to offer. Opposite the Tower of London and next to Tower Bridge this is the perfect location for a stunning Christmas Market. With offices housing over 40,000 city workers and floods of tourist, London Bridge City is the go-to destination this Christmas. All pitches are prime as they are all along the Queens Walkway right on the Thames. Please let us know what zone you would like to trade in and we will do our best to allocate you into that area. This will be a specialist area with Arts & Craft traders taking the space. Page13

14 LOCATION - HAYS GALLERIA: Set in the stunning arcade, Hays Galleria is home to many shops and eateries and also a main walk through from London Bridge station on Tooley Street. It is a bustling place with a high foot fall of city workers at lunch times and after work, tourists and shoppers throughout the day. ZONE 5 HAYS GALLERIA (15 CABINS) The Petanque Pitch will house 8 of our slim line counter top cabins. It is covered by the high roof of Hays Galleria, a former shipping port for Teas from China & India. The cabins are slightly slimmer than the rest of the Riverside with dimensions of 10x5ft.
