7 Key 2015 Criticisms Should the program be limited to the uninsured? Is there too much hospital and contract pharmacy growth? Should 340B hospitals Medicare Part B reimbursement be reduced? Should there be limits on amount charged to uninsured patients? Should the DSH eligibility criteria be scrapped? How are 340B entities using their savings? B Health 7

8 January 2016 MedPAC Vote on 340B Changes Reduce Part B 340B hospital reimbursement by 10% of average sales price (would reduce 340B savings by roughly 30%) Put savings into existing Medicare-funded hospital uncompensated care pool Distribute payments from pool on the basis of S-10 uncompensated care data (bad debt and charity care) phased in over three years Next step: MedPAC likely to include recommendation in March report to Congress B Health 8

9 340B Health Responds Would fundamentally change scope of program Per MedPAC, most 340B hospitals would see decreases in Medicare reimbursement for Part B drugs 340B Health analyzing impact of proposal 340B Health will continue educating MedPAC and Congress about our concerns (See January 13 th letter to MedPAC) B Health 9
