1 13 Days & 12 Nights QIT 18/10/0006 EAST & SOUTH (Valid from 01 November 2018 to 31 October 2019) DAY 1: IN Antananarivo Arrive in Antananarivo Meet at the airport then transfer to Pavillon de l Emyrne Hotel. Overnight at the hotel. Pavillon de l Emyrne Hotel DAY 2: Antananarivo Andasibe Drive to Andasibe (145 km/4hrs) and visit on the way to Mr Peyrieras insect and reptile farm in Marozevo. Nocturnal visit to VOI reserve. Dinner and overnight at Eulophiella Lodge. Andasibe is situated on National Road 2, at around 3 hours drive from the capital city, Antananarivo towards the Eastern coast of the Island. On your way there, a visit to the private reserve of Peyrieras will give you a foretaste of its generous nature since chameleons, geckos, frogs, butterflies, crocodiles, bats, lemurs and other exotic species cohabit with one another harmoniously.

2 Peyrieras Reserve & Eulophiella Lodge DAY 3: Andasibe Morning visit to Analamazaotra National park. Afternoon visit to Vakona private reserve. Dinner and overnight at Eulophiella Lodge. Andasibe national Park with its 154 km² encompasses two distinct areas: the small Réserve Spéciale d'analamazaotra (popularly known by the old French name of the nearby town and railway station, Périnet) in the south next to Andasibe village; and the much larger Parc National de Mantadia to the north. Both parts belonged to the same humid forest, but because of human activities are now divided in two. The park was created in Due to its closeness to the capital and the good road condition all year round almost all visitors to Madagascar will choose to come here to follow the Indri call, which is the star of the park. Andasibe National Park Vakona private reserve leads you around a lake where 40 crocodiles live freely. You will meet Kovu and Nala, two fosa (endemic carnivores of Madagascar, predators of lemurs), admire

3 parrots, ostriches and aquatic birds, shiver at the sight of boas, and scratch the neck of tortoises. Situated in the middle of the primary forest, the reserve sometimes has the privilege of being frequented by groups of wild lemurs, flown over by parrots, and visited by a variety of birds that nest here. Vakona private reserve DAY 4: Andasibe Antsirabe Drive to Antsirabe (315km/ 7hrs). Afternoon city sightseeing. Dinner and overnight at Plumeria Hotel. The water town, Antsirabe, also known as the Vichy of Madagascar with its thermal sources, its sacred lakes and overhanging mountains. Antsirabe is also very involved in the agricultural field as well as with regards handicraft activities. Nature lovers may, on their way, stop at the insect s sanctuary or just enjoy a pleasant trip in rickshaw. Plumeria Hotel

4 DAY 5: Antsirabe Ranomafana Morning visit to the craters lakes of Andraikiba and Tritriva the drive to Ambositra (90km/ 2hrs). Visit to the wood-carving handcraft market. Afternoon continuation to Ranomafana (150km/ 4hrs). Dinner and overnight at Thermal Hotel. Andraikiba & Tritriva lakes Ambositra or the capital of the small- business sector is an interesting passage not to miss. Indeed, a stopping place is imperative upon it to appreciate the Malagasy small-business sector under all its forms particularly the Zafimaniry art (sculpture and parquetry on rare and precious wood such as: rosewood, rosewood, ebony etc.). 5 DAY 6: Ranomafana Fianarantsoa Morning visit to Ranomafana National Park (around 3 or 4 hours). Drive to Fianarantsoa (88km/ 2hrs). Afternoon city sightseeing. Dinner and overnight at Zomatel. Ranomafana National Park created in 1991 extends over a ha, situated in the Northern East of Fianarantsoa, figures among the forests of Atsinanana registered on the site of the UNESCO world heritage. The Park shelters more than about ten species of lemurs such as: Simpona d' Edwards (Propithecus edwardsi), gilded (bronzed) Hapalémur (H.griseus), grey (H. aureus) more than hundred sorts of birds, the 75 % of the botanical species of the National park are not seen anywhere else besides. This heritage so rich in biodiversity will interest a lot of nature lovers, photographers, researchers and eco-tourists. Ranomafana National Park Fianarantsoa which means "where we learn good things " is the capital of Betsileo, built in 1830 by Queen Ranavalona I by means of the local catholic missionaries, is the replica of the city of Antananarivo, it includes also 3 levels: the low city, the new town and the old town which saves catholic and Protestant churches thanks to the helps coming from several nongovernmental organizations of various origins. The big market of Friday "Zoma" is spectacular by its colors in spite of the atmosphere particularly silent. The hill of Kianjasoa will offer a fantastic view, which will allow the visitors to admirethe city wide.

6 Zomatel DAY 7: Fianarantsoa Ranohira Morning drive to Ambalavao (54km/ 1hr) then visit to an Antemoro paper workshop and to Anja Park. Afternoon continuation to Ranohira (230km/ 4hrs) through the Horombe plateau. Dinner and overnight at Jardin du Roy Hotel. Antemoro Paper Workshop & Anja Park It is advised, when leaving Fianarantsoa, to stop at Ambalavao to discover the Antemoro paper factory. This paper of Arabic origin is unique and is made of shrub barks called Avoha chewed up with water and left in the sun to dry up. The Antemoro paper has become the raw material used in the making of greeting cards, gift wrappings, paintings and all sorts of decorative items.

7 Anja Park is a village reserve situated at 12 km from the city of Ambalavao the foot of a rocky mountain cliff, which since its inception in 1999 has attracted a large number of tourists, photographers, curious in nature, a few dozen hectares of dry forest, home to flora and fauna which endemism is particularly high : lemurs (Lemur catta), chameleons, snakes, birds of prey, as well as iguanas...visitors will enjoy the passages in caves that provide shelter for lemurs. The new Ranohira (Maki Water) is located about 685 km from Antananarivo on the RN7, a small town Bara lives of ecotourism from where all excursions to explore Isalo National Park. Jardin du Roy Hotel DAY 8: Ranohira Full day visit to Isalo National Park. Dinner and overnight at Jardin du Roy Hotel. After you have travelled across the deserted Plateaux de Horombe, you will find in Isalo an oasis hidden in wonderfully coloured beds of sandstone. It is believed that Isalo is the living proof of continental drifts giving birth to cliffs and canyons of unique majesty with rare and endemic fauna and flora such as the Pachypodium, the Kalanchoe or the Aloe isaloensis. Isalo is also these waterfalls that, in certain places, form natural swimming pools so cool and so crystal-clear that it is hard to resist diving into after early morning walks. Because of its unique beauty and tourist appeal, Isalo National Park is among the most visited parks of Madagascar.

8 Isalo National Park DAY 9: Ranohira Toliara Ifaty Morning drive to Toliara (243km/ 5hrs) then visit to Mr Petignat s Arboretum. Afternoon continuation to Ifaty (23km/ 30min). Dinner and overnight at Dunes d Ifaty Hotel. Antsokay is a botanical garden specialised in the flora and fauna of Southwest Madagascar that should not be missed by anyone. The Arboretum was created around 1980, on the initiative of a Swiss amateur botanist, Hermann Pétignat who died in 2000 and is located at 12 km south-east from the Toliara town. On a surface of 40 hectares there are almost 900 species of plants, 90% endemic to the region. A trained English-speaking guide takes you on a two-hour tour of the impoved area, where visitors see around a hundred of species of Euphornia and 60 species of Kalanchoe, as well as an abundance of reptiles and birds. 9 DAY 10 & DAY 11: Ifaty Days at leisure on half board basis at Dunes d Ifaty Hotel. Ifaty is one of the most beautiful seashore holiday resorts of Toliara. Visitors can stroll around and meet the Vezo fishermen, indulge in watersport activities and discover the endless lagoon rich in deep sea biodiversities or simply bask in the sun on the beautiful beaches after a refreshing swim. Ifaty Beach DAY 12: Ifaty Toliara Antananarivo Drive back to Toliara then transfer to the airport. Leave Toliara by MD???? Arrive in Antananarivo. Meet at the airport then transfer to Pavillon de l Emyrne Hotel. Afternoon city sightseeing and visit to the handcraft market. Overnight at the hotel. Antananarivo or the City of a Thousand founded in 1610 is the economic and political capital of Madagascar and also the Region of Analamanga, located in the heart of the island, with an average altitude of 1250 m. City quite concentrated and very cosmopolitan, its population is estimated at 2.3 million inhabitants. The city tour will allow visitors to appreciate its daily and craft markets, the architecture of the city with its 3 levels including the old town where there are Christian buildings from the 1800s and historical monuments of Central Imerina: the Palace of the Queen Manjakamiadana Rova, the former Palace of the Prime Minister of Andafiavaratra the courthouse old
