5 5 WHY DO THIS CHALLENGE TO GIVE IS TO LIVE Boots UK and Macmillan Cancer Support are working together to ensure people affected by cancer, wherever they are in the UK, have access to the best cancer information and support in their local community. This event will help contribute towards this even more. By combining our expertise to deliver innovative services and improve access to localised support across the UK, we aim to connect people and their loved ones to information and support in their community. Ensuring people affected by cancer can have conversations about the wider, practical and emotional issues, at a time when they need it most. We aim to do this by inspiring Boots UK colleagues to become passionate, active ambassadors for Boots UK and Macmillan in their local communities. By offering unique volunteering and fundraising opportunities, we will enable colleagues and customers to raise vital funds for people affected by cancer and ensure that no one faces cancer alone. By providing bespoke training to Boots UK pharmacists and No7 Advisors, we aim to utilise their expert health and beauty advice to help people affected by cancer feel more like themselves. Since the partnership began in 2009, Boots UK colleagues and customers have raised over 12 million and continue to raise significant funds for Macmillan to help improve the lives of people affected by cancer.

6 6 FURTHER INFORMATION SNOWDON TRIPLE CHALLENGE LEVEL OF DIFFICULTY MEDIUM The Snowdon Triple Challenge is graded as medium. This is the ideal event for participants who are of an adventurous spirit and an open mind, but potentially haven t taken on a multi-activity challenge before. Cycling leg undulating course with one steep climb Trekking leg summiting Snowdon which involves some steep ascents & descents and rocky terrain Kayaking leg you will start your kayaking leg in a sheltered bay before heading out onto the lake in order to practice your paddling skills. Sweeping close to the lake shore, you will paddle the length of the lake and back which can prove challenging due to the water flow.
