Upon arrival at the Lusaka International Airport, you will be assisted with clearing customs and transferred by road to the Intercontinental Hotel in Lusaka for your overnight stay on a bed and breakfast basis. Dinner this evening is at your leisure. DAY 2: This morning after breakfast, your hosts will assist you in checking out of the Intercontinental Hotel and connecting with your road transfer to Kiambi Safari Lodge in the Lower Zambezi Valley. Rest your elbows on the balustrade of Kiambi's elevated teak deck, and absorb the might of the Zambezi and the Kafue Rivers Sense the promise below the surface. Under and beyond you, the waters stretches as far as the eye can see; left and right, you'll witness a glorious unfolding of the sunrises and sunsets to take your breath away; and for stargazers, a glittering scene of splendour is played out nightly - and you have seats in the front row! A Typical Day at Kiambi Safari Lodge: A typical morning at Kiambi begins with early morning tea and coffee and oats porridge before heading out for some fishing on the Zambezi River. Return for brunch on the Kiambi deck and thereafter, there is time for an afternoon siesta or relaxing time around the pool. Meet again on the Kiambi deck before departing for your afternoon s fishing on the Zambezi River for the magnetic tigerfish! Return after sunset in the evening for a shower before meeting around a roaring fire for dinner. FISHING TIPS & TACKLE FOR THE LOWER ZAMBEZI: The Lower Zambezi is the portion of the Zambezi River that runs between Lake Kariba and Cahorra Bassa. As such, the flow of water through this section of the river is more controlled than other regions due to being downstream from Lake Kariba. The river has very healthy fish populations as well large numbers of hippo, elephant and buffalo in the region. At Kiambi, you will primarily target tigerfish drifting with bait. This happens in two ways: you can either buy bait at the Lodge or you can target some of the smaller tigers, bream or chessa fish by spinning with little Mepps lures or fishing with worms. Once you have caught your live bait, then your guide will fillet it and begin drifting for tiger. Simply lobbing the bait overboard, the current will drift it about 30m away from the boat and you wait for the hit. 2 Page

3 The bait will usually be picked up by either tigerfish or vundu enormous lower Zambezi catfish. Tigerfish are known for the hard jaws, fearsome teeth and incredible acrobatic jumps once hooked and the golden rule is strike harder than you think and keep that rod tip down! The boats at Kiambi are mixture of fibreglass pontoons and aluminium cruisers that will allow for maximum manoeuvrability if you get stuck into a trophy fish! Rod and reel are available for hire at Kiambi and bait and a selection of lures can be purchased at the lodge. DAY 6: This morning after breakfast, your hosts will assist you in checking out of Kiambi Safari Lodge and connecting with your road transfer to the Zambezi Sun Hotel in Livingstone. This road transfer is expected to last about 5 hours. Upon arrival at the Zambezi Sun Hotel, you will be assisted with checking into your rooms for a 4 night stay on a bed and breakfast basis. 4 DAY 7: This morning after breakfast, you have an opportunity to visit the Victoria Falls. The Falls are open to Zambezi Sun guests to visit at any time during the day and at no cost. Enjoy a scenic walk around one the 7 Wonders of the Natural World which is a mere 2 minutes from the Hotel. Near to the Falls is a local market selling handcrafted African goods and curios. The included activity for the day is an opportunity to walk along the banks of the Zambezi River the lions. In addition to walking with lions, you may wish to book additional activities for this day that could include helicopter flips, microlight rides, bungi jumping or elephant back safaris (additional costs apply). Lunch and dinner will be at your leisure. DAY 8: This morning after breakfast the group will enjoy a full day trip into the magnificent Chobe National Park. Located on the Chobe River in the Northern Botswana, the Chobe National Park is well known for its enormous elephant populations the largest elephant population in the world is found in Chobe along with healthy populations of buffalo, lion, hippo, wild dog, sable and many many more. The Chobe Day trip is a full day s activity and dinner will be at your leisure this evening. DAY 9: This morning after breakfast, the group will get an opportunity to continue the hunt for the elusive tigerfish! Join the legendary Angle Zambia team for a half day of fishing around the Victoria Falls that will undoubtedly leave you with tales of the mighty catches or the ones that got away! The activity includes water, soft drinks and local beers and will have you back at the Hotel for lunch. The remainder of the afternoon is at your leisure to relax or pursue some of the other activities on offer in Livingstone. Dinner tonight is at your leisure. DAY 10: This morning after breakfast and check out of the Zambezi Sun Hotel, you will be transferred by road west driving parallel to the mighty Zambezi River to Mutemwa Lodge in the Western Province. The road transfer will take approximately 2.5 hours before you arrive at Mutemwa Lodge for a check in for your 4 night stay on a full board basis. 4 Page

Tucked away along the banks of the mighty Zambezi River in Western Zambia lies a place of serene beauty and splendour. Mutemwa Lodge. Relax under the shade of indigenous trees and enjoy some of southern Africa's finest bird watching, with the Zambezi spreading a kilometre wide beneath your patio. Of course, adventure is never far off and the lodge offers guests Tiger and Bream fishing, specific bird watching expeditions as well as tours to nearby cultural and scenic destinations. No stay at Mutemwa would be complete without a sunset cruise followed by a dinner of authentic African cuisine in the boma, around a roaring campfire. Each of Mutemwa Lodge's six luxury bush tents boast an en-suite bathroom, private deck and includes breakfast, lunch and dinner. Situated on the western bank of the great Zambezi River, Mutemwa Lodge caters for 12 guests in luxurious tented accommodation. Your every need is met by a staff of 22. 6 DAYS 11 13: A Typical Day at Mutemwa Lodge: A typical morning at Mutemwa begins with early morning tea and coffee and oats porridge before heading out for some fishing on the Zambezi River. Return for brunch on the Mutemwa deck and thereafter, there is time for an afternoon siesta or relaxing time around the pool. Meet again on the Mutemwa deck for high tea before departing for your afternoon s fishing, birding walk or sunset cruise. Return after sunset in the evening for a shower before meeting around a roaring fire in the boma for dinner. A Day Trip to Maziba Bay and the Sioma Falls: an excellent option to consider for an outing: Following an early wake-up with tea and coffee, the group can be driven to the Sioma Falls to try the churning and deep rapid water for tigerfish. Returning for a beach brunch, you have the middle of the day to visit the magnificent Sioma Falls, swim in the natural spa baths formed by the Zambezi s second largest waterfall. 6 Page

7 FISHING TIPS & TACKLE FOR THE UPPER ZAMBEZI: The Upper Zambezi is the portion of the Zambezi River that runs from the source of the river to the Victoria Falls. As such, the flow of water through this section of the river is far more dependant on natural rainfall and vast stretches of this river form enormous floodplains that are a vital breeding ground for small fish. This essentially allows the river to restock itself as such. The river generally flows a bit quicker and there is also less wildlife occurring on the banks of the Upper Zambezi river these days. At Mutemwa, your fishing will be completely different to the Lower Zambezi in that you will probably do most of the fishing with rapala lures and spinners. Trolling 9 13cm rapalas behind the boats for tigerfish or spinning in the rapids or drop offs is the most successful method of fishing at Mutemwa and it is not uncommon to land 5 or 6 fish in a session. Just remember for every successful strike, expect to miss 4 other fish! Mutemwa will supply you with all the tackle required as well as the guides to point you in the right direction. You may also have the opportunity of catching a 3 spot Bream or the Nembwe two very good fighting and wonderful eating fish that hide amongst deep structure and mud drop offs along the river banks. The boats at Mutemwa are a mixture of flat bottom aluminium swamp cruisers with carpets and deep hulled fibreglass Dory s with each boat taking a maximum of 3 anglers. DAY 14: This morning after breakfast, you will be transferred by road to the Livingstone International Airport. Here you will connect with your international flight back to Johannesburg. Upon arrival in Johannesburg, your Wonders of the Zambezi journey will be concluded. 7 Page

9 General All prices are subject to availability. Cost of flights, if applicable, is subject to change. Bookings will only be confirmed once a non-refundable deposit (as outlined in the Pro Forma Invoice) has been received in addition to the Standard Booking Terms and Conditions, signed by all the travellers making use of our services. The non-refundable deposit must be paid upon acceptance of this itinerary. The balance payment must be paid as outlined. In some cases full payment will be requested at the time of booking. Any and all reservations not complying with these conditions will be cancelled, unless otherwise agreed in writing by management. Passport Requirements South African passport control has become very strict. Passports must be valid for at least six months from your return date. We recommend a validity of nine months to prevent any problems in this regard. There must be at least two blank VISA pages in your passports (not endorsement pages). Visitors have been denied entry due to not having sufficient blank visa pages in their passports. Introduction 1. The Department of Foreign Affairs & Trade also strongly recommend you take out travel insurance. N.B. Please note that some credit card providers will provide the card holder with travel insurance. Where you are paying for all or any part of the services arranged through us by credit card and you intend to use travel insurance provided by the credit card provider you acknowledge that TravelManagers has offered you travel insurance and that you waive any claim against TravelManagers in respect of any loss or damage you may suffer as a result of you failing to take out any or adequate travel insurance. Cancellation Fees 3. Cancellation fees are likely to be incurred on all confirmed reservations or bookings. Further, some tickets may be non-refundable or nontransferable. It is important to check the position with us before you confirm arrangements and/or before you cancel any confirmed reservations. Please read the specific conditions detailed in the Principal s brochures and flyers in relation to your travel arrangements. Changes in Reservations 4. If you wish to change a confirmed reservation you are likely to incur fees. In some cases it may not be possible to change reservations or to cancel the reservation or it may be uneconomic for you to do so. You should always check the cost before requesting changes in reservations. Please read the specific conditions detailed by the Principal s in relation to your travel arrangements. Prices 5. Airfares and tour prices may change (almost invariably by being increased) without prior notice and even though your arrangements have been confirmed. Such price increases are beyond our control and you will liable to pay for any such increases. Many airlines now impose surcharges on the price of air travel. These surcharges may change between the time you make a reservation and the date of full payment. Payment 6. If payment has not been made by the specific date which TravelManagers will advise you, your bookings may be cancelled. Payments may be made by direct deposit or cheque. If you wish to pay by credit card it is necessary to check with us first as some airfares and package holidays cannot be paid for by credit card. In certain circumstances your credit card will be charged by the Principal. In these instances you authorise TravelManagers to pass on your credit card details to the Principal. Credit Card payments may incur surcharges. TravelManagers will add an additional surcharge to payments made by credit card. Please check with us for current charges. When your credit card is processed by TravelManagers you agree to not have your payment charged back or reversed by your credit card provider where the services have been provided. All cheques must be made payable to TravelManagers Australia Pty Limited. If you cancel your travel arrangements after paying for the same no refund will be available to you until after we receive the monies from the Principal involved. In most cases fees will be payable for cancellations and in some instances you may not be able to claim a refund. Passport and Visa Requirements 9 Page

10 8. Prior to confirming your travel arrangements, you should check your passport and establish that it will remain current for the entire period of your travel. Certain countries require that your passport remains valid for a period of up to twelve months after the date upon which you are scheduled to leave such country. You may be denied entry to a country if your passport expires within 12 months. You should clarify visa requirements with the Embassies of the countries that you plan to visit as certain countries may require you to take out a visa dependant on whether you are travelling on an Australian or a foreign passport. The authorities in some countries (including The USA) require holders of Australian passports to take out a visa for entry into their country where the traveller has been sentenced or imprisoned or been convicted of certain types of criminal offence. A visa may be required where a contagious disease or a serious health problem exists. It is the responsibility of each member of the travelling party to ensure that they have a valid passport and the necessary visa/s for the destinations to be visited. Re-entry Visas for Australia 9. Re-entry visas will/may be required for travellers leaving Australia holding a foreign passport. If you hold a foreign passport then it is your responsibility to make your own enquiries and satisfy yourself as to the position in regard to your passport and/or visa requirements before leaving Australia. Vaccinations 10. Certain countries require that travellers be vaccinated against specific infection and/or diseases. TravelManagers strongly recommends that you check with your doctor and the Embassies of countries to which you are travelling to with respect to any health requirements. Checking Travel Arrangements 11. We have exercised care in putting together the arrangements requested by you in regards to your travel and accommodation. It is important that you check all of the documentation handed to you in relation to your proposed travel and accommodation to ensure that it fully meets with your requirements and to ensure that there have been no misunderstandings. All documents, in relation to international travel, must be issued in the name of the passport holder.
