An exceptional team of instructors conduct day and night programs of activities in various locations within Thunderbird Park. Students interact and have fun in a natural environment. 3 Accommodation There are 2 Bunkhouses which overlook Cedar Creek s pristine rainforest, cascading waterfalls and natural rock pools. The Upper Bunkhouse has a total of 8 rooms with 8 bunk beds per room giving a total capacity of 64. The Lower Bunkhouse has a total of 7 rooms with 8 bunk beds per room giving a total capacity of 56. The total Bunkhouse capacity is 120 with additional accommodation options available. Alternative or additional accommodation choices are available including Bush Lodges, beautiful Creek Lodges, Superior Rooms and Campsites. The NEW 4 bedroom Teachers Block sleeps up to 4 adults in air conditioned and ensuited comfort. 4 single ensuited rooms including a bar fridge, single bed, bedside cabinet, built in desk and chair, built in 2 door wardrobe with mirrors and a 22 inch LCD TV. 4 Facilities & Amenities Amenities Each bunkhouse has male and female amenities within the same building as well as a central laundry with a token operated commercial washing machine and dryer. Sapphire Recreation Room The recently renovated Sapphire Recreation Room is adjacent to the Bunkhouses and is ideal for catering and group activities. This large spacious room has a large kitchen, outdoor barbecue area and an open fireplace. The recreation room is surrounded by lush rainforest in a private part of Thunderbird Park away from other accommodation and public areas.

5 Some of the many activities on offer... Horse Trail Rides TreeTop Challenge (High Rope Course) TreeTop Challenge consists of two Green (beginner) courses. These are a very gentle introduction and real confidence builders. Your students are welcome to challenge themselves further on the two Red Courses (Intermediate) before trying out for those who are super keen on the Blue Course ( Adventurous)! Most students have completed course within hours. It is a high energy adrenaline activity. Equine Care encourages your students to learn all about horse care This activity cover evrything from feeding - and what to feed or not feed horses - as well as grooming (hands on) through to tack maintenance (bridles / saddles etc) and teeth and hoof care. There will be time for a photo of each student mounted on their horse. BYO Camera. Included in this activity is a short trail-ride ambling alongside Turtle Lake and through native bushlands. Archery & Thunderegg Fossicking Archery is an activity that requires persistence and determination as well as good listening skills. Balance, focus and discipline are all required simultaneously. Rock Fossicking is a great activity for any age group as they each have their own pick and bucket and can dig for buried treasures (Thundereggs) to take home. This activity links back to the geology / geography curriculum. Your students will receive a half cut Thunderegg to take home as a fun reminder of a fabulous camp. Raft Building Raft Building is lake based, where the group is given a certain amount of equipment and they must design and construct a raft to support some of their team members. Included are knot tying lessons, so your raft can be sturdy and safe. This activity is driven by group discussion and collaboration and facilitates leadership, team building, communication and listening skills. Launching a raft that actually floats and carries the team is a highlight.
