1 JOMSOM MUKTINATH TREK Jomsom Muktinath Trek detains the striking views of the incredible mountain vistas, unique temples and monasteries along the windy valleys through the Kali Gandaki River. The feasible excursion commences from the Tatopani. The road extension has made it possible as it used to start in Beni. The temple and religious shrines of the Jomsom and Muktinath are the most noteworthy pilgrimage sites for Hindus and Buddhists in the northwest of Kathmandu in the Lower Mustang region. Jomsom Muktinath Trek can proceed from the various gateways. This trip takes you directly to the Tatopani village and begins the foothill excursion. You grab a different walking trail than the usual one as we have carefully designed a unique trekking itinerary to Muktinath which was used by the Tibetan traders and the people in their pilgrimage trip. It avoids the roadway and include undiscovered trail. The trail goes through the narrow and abrupt gorges, combining the deepest gorge in the world. Different up and down the route, including the bone jarring slopes on its first half eventually leads you to the flat and desert landscape. Trips are starting earlier in such a windy and dusty town to reach the sacred site- Muktinath. It is the place where you meet the trekkers of Annapurna Circuit makes an overturn into the different landscape after the Thorong Pass. The holy shrine of temple, Gompa and water sprouts symbolize the mystical dominance in this place. Waterfalls and breathtaking gorges. Itinerary Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu (1350m). Welcome to Nepal. Representative of Mountain Delights Treks and Expedition receives you at the Tribhuvan international airport, Kathmandu. Then you transfer to the hotel. After a short rest, we take you to the Thamel tour (about 30 minutes) to show you the shopping centre, bank and ATM, restaurants and money changers. Then, in the hotel a brief introduction about the upcoming itinerary is given. If you have a late flight, we do it on the following day. Overnight at hotel. Day 02: Kathmandu Sightseeing. Pashupatinath Temple: It is a Hindu temple devoted to Lord Shiva, located beside the Bagmati River. It is one of the most significant temples for the Hindu devotes around the world and the UNESCO site. The golden pagoda style temple is richly carved with silver doors. On the day of Shivaratri, a big fair is held around the month of February/March. Boudhanath Stupa: One of the biggest Stupas in the world, is located on the east in Kathmandu. It stands with four pairs of eyes in the four prime direction, keeping watch for virtuous behaviour and human success. King Man Deva at the advice of the Goddess Mani Jogini had built this remarkable Stupa. The Stupa resembles the Mahayana philosophy. Day 03: Fly to Pokhara, drive to Beni-Tatopani. 30 min fly and 5 hrs In the morning, we fly from Kathmandu to Pokhara with the mountain sceneries when you are sitting on the right seat. As we land on Pokhara and a short refresh, we begin to drive to Tatopani via Nayapul and Beni, the district centre of Myagdi district. With the hillside views and forests we reach all the way to Tatopani. Overnight at teahouse/lodge. Day 04: Tatopani to Ghasa (2010m). 5-6 hrs trek. Be begin the trek after breakfast through the wide road for half an hour. Then we descend to the Kali Gandaki River, cross the bridge and head to the Narchyang village. Getting the breathtaking panoramas of Dhaulagiri, Tukuche and Annapurna peaks can be more charming from the village. Again, the trail descends a bit further and continue towards Gadpar and down to Kopchepani. Then we catch up the main trail and trek to Ghasa via Pairithapla. Overnight at teahouse/lodge. Day 05: Ghasa to Titi. 5-6 hrs Another picturesque day we have today. As we walk half an hour from Ghasa, we climb up steadily beyond Dhaiku and descend to the Lete Khola, which continually leads us to the Chhoyo. Wrapping the lush sceneries, we walk further to the Kunjo village, inhabited by the Thakali people, who are skilful for cooking delicious foods. Then we climb up a bit and walk through the easy trail through the pine woods to Titi. Overnight at teahouse/lodge.

3 Day 06: Titi to Tukuche (2590m). 6-7 hrs Today, we hike up to the Nupsang hill for the sunrise view and the Annapurna Himalayan beauties. Even the striking Dhaulagiri, Tukuche and Nilgiri range can be explored. Then we climb down to our campsite, have breakfast and set out for a walk. Scramble the trail, it leads us to the downhill at Kokhethanti with a gradual walk. Down again, we catch the trail to descend to the Kali Gandaki River bed. The gentle amble goes through Sirkung to gain the Tukuche after crossing the wooden bridge. Overnight at teahouse/lodge. Day 07: Tukuche to Thini (2840m). 5-6 hrs Crossing the bridge after Tukuche, we hike through the plain trail to Chimar and Chhairo. Dhumbara is ahead as we walk steadily and attain there in no time. We can see the tiny Dhumbar Lake nearby and persist to Thini. It is where the trekkers who come from the Thilicho Pass joins the main trail of Jomsom Muktinath trekking. The Jomsom valley and Nilgiri range dazzle in its extreme fascination. Overnight at the teahouse/lodge. Day 08: Thini to Kagbeni (2810m). 4-5 hrs It is a relief day for us and head to our overnight destination Kagbeni with a gentle pace. Reaching the Ekle Bhatti, we continue to trek along the Kali Gandaki River bank, which is renowned as a windy valley. The earlier we start to trek, the more we feel easy to deal with the continual wind. There is a Kagbeni, the place which departs the trekkers to the Upper Mustang and Muktinath. Overnight at teahouse/lodge. Day 09: Kagbeni to Muktinath (3710m). 5-6 hrs The trail is similar to the Tibetan terrain and we feel as if we are walking on a desert. The landscape is unique and the green vegetations are seen in some of the places. Slightly, we walk to Puthak, then to Jhong. The eye catching panoramas of Thorong peak, Nilgiri and Dhaulagiri can be seen through the way. Gradually ascending, we reach to the world famous pilgrimage site of Muktinath beyond the Annapurna Himalayan chain. People from different parts of the world come to this place to get freed from the sins. Hindu and Buddhist people make their pilgrimage trip to this temple. Overnight at teahouse/lodge. Day 10: Muktinath to Jomsom (2720m). 6-7 hrs It s a pretty log foothill excursion from Muktinath to Jomsom. However, descending is easier to ascend. First, we climb to the Lubra Danda and walk down to the Lubra village, one of the picturesque Thakali villages in this area. The stunning views of the Dhaulagiri, Nilgiri, Tukuche and the vicinity snow capped peaks. The wide and flat trail from there continually leads us to the district headquarter of the Mustang region along the windy route beside the Kali Gandaki River bed. Our walking trip concludes here at Jomsom. Overnight at the teahouse/lodge. Day 11: Jomsom to Pokhara (20min fly) or adventure drive (8-9 hrs) It is an early morning flight from Jomsom over the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri sceneries. The morning weather is very much suitable for the flight. Or the adventurous road drive from Jomsom is also available. Then we transfer to the hotel. After a rest, we set out for the refreshing sightseeing and boating in the Fewa Lake and enjoying the tranquil views. In the evening, we set out for a walk around the lakeside area. Overnight at hotel. Day 12: Pokhara to Kathmandu drive. 6-7 hrs or 45 min fly

4 We are leaving for Kathmandu from Pokhara today. It is again pretty long drive by a tourist bus. In the beginning, we get amused by the Marshyangdi river valley and its surrounding scenarios and of the Trishuli river valley in the second part. After reaching Kathmandu, you transfer to the hotel. Enjoy the evening as you wish. Overnight at hotel. Day 13. Bhaktapur Sightseeing and the rest of the day free. Traditionally, Bhaktapur is known as Bhadgaon, which is a home of the mediaeval arts and architectures. It is about 13 km east of Kathmandu. The city was believed to have founded in 889 AD in the Lichhavi dynasty. Bhaktapur city is popular as the city of devotees. The centuries old stone sculptures and wood carving skills are still charming around the Bhaktapur Durbar square. After the tour ends, we take you to the women empowerment project for a visit. The rest day is then for your personal doings that can be used for shopping. Overnight at hotel. Day 14: Departure. At the farewell day, Mountain Delights Treks and Expedition s representative drops you at the airport for your final departure. Thank you for your wonderful experience with us.
