1 We look forward to traveling with you Travel Programs in Conjunction with the 109th Annual Convention of Rotary International 23 June 27 June, 2018 Toronto, Ontario, Canada You are invited to join us as we travel to the 109 th Annual Convention of Rotary International that will be held in Toronto, Canada June 23 - June 27, Our programs have been designed to give you freedom and flexibility of choice. We are offering pre and post convention tours, exploring the western Rocky Mountains, Quebec, the Maritime Provinces and even an extraordinary cycling adventure through Quebec province. Howard Tours, which is owned and operated by Rotarians, has been taking Rotarians to the Rotary International conventions since the early 1950 s. Literally, tens of thousands of Rotarians have traveled with us to Rotary's conventions, polio immunization days, humanitarian projects and friendship exchanges. We hope that you will join us in Canada, and that we have included something that would like to see and do around the convention. Thank you for your interest. 2 Howard Tours Howard Tours was founded in 1948 by Joe Howard, Past District Governor of what was then known as District 517, which includes California s Silicon Valley. We remain a Rotarian owned and operated company, now headed by Brad Howard, also a Past District Governor of District 5170 and Past Rotary International Director of Zones 25 & 26. Our General Manager, Jolene Bortz, is a Past President of Oakland Uptown Rotary Club. Howard Tours is a primary tour operator and not a travel agency. We do not sell to the general public. We select and purchase our services from the airlines, hotels, sightseeing companies, etc. and then sell the tours directly to Rotarians attending the convention. As a result, we offer superior travel service at a greater value. Howard Tours has operated professional, educational, and other specialized programs, such as this one for Rotarians, since our inception. In addition to providing tours to the International Conventions since the early 1950s, Howard Tours has been an innovator in developing humanitarian travel programs that give Rotarians first hand experience in world understanding and peace. These include participation in National Immunization Days in Africa and India, the delivery of wheelchairs to those in need, humanitarian grant site visits and many other humanitarian travel programs.
