He is a qualified Arctic Nature Guide and has 7 years of Arctic Guiding experience, leading and organising some of the toughest expeditions for the best professional athletes and brands. He continues to push himself and the industry to stay ahead of the curve while paying close attention to climate and the best ways to make people aware of this nature worth protecting. Ski Horsundtind Expedition We are proud to offer one of the most unique expeditions out there for mountainous explorers. One major objective of the trip is to ski/ snowboard Hornsundtind.

5 Ski Horsundtind Expedition We are proud to offer one of the most unique expeditions out there for mountainous explorers. One major objective of the trip is to ski/ snowboard Hornsundtind. The largest peak in the area. In order to do this the expedition team will disembark the expedition vessel, ski tour, dragging all their equipment behind them over glaciers and set up a base-camp at the foot of the mountain. As weather must be optimal to have a chance of reaching the top the itinerary will remain flexible and a decision will be made the day before about setting up the camp. The rest of the time will be spent in 24hr light cruising the fjord, backcountry riding and enjoying the unspoilt Arctic Nature. Svalbard is a collection of islands situated in the high Northern Latitudes of the planet. It has four months of darkness a year and four months of 24hr light. Its in the true nature of the island to explore, conquer the unknown and go further than any human before. Last year The Empire took a private expedition to Hornsund, the most Southerly Fjord on the island of Spitsbergen. What we found was a mountain paradise that had not yet been realized by the ski/snowboard community. In order to run a full scale expedition there for experienced guests we have enlisted the help of North Sailing. An Icelandic sailing company that specializes in travel in the most remote regions of the world. They have experience in Greenland, Iceland, Jan Mayen, Norway and Svalbard.
