An Additional Financing for USD45 million was approved on January 27, 2017, declared effective on June 07, 2017, and has a closing date in June 30, 2019. The AF will allow to cover a cost overrun related to the civil works of the La Matanza BRT system and complete the multimodal Saenz Transfer Station. Previously, the project was restructured in August 2014 to modify certain Project activities and reallocate funds within the components to allow the execution of selected high priority investments for urban transport in the metropolitan areas. The Project has been focused primarily on three public transport investments: (i) segregated lanes projects in the municipalities of Santa Fe and Rosario (completed): (ii) a BRT project in La Matanza (expected to be completed by July, 2017); and (iii) a multimodal Transfer Station in the Belgrano Sur suburban rail line in city of Buenos Aires (expected to be completed by January, 2019). The project is also financing technical assistance to strengthen planning and data platforms for urban mobility planning and management in the Metropolitan Area of Buenos Aires and medium-sized Argentine cities.
