Introduction 1. NHS England has a statutory duty to undertake an annual assessment of s on an annual basis. This has been done under the auspices of the Improvement and Assessment Framework (IAF), with the overall assessment derived from s performance against the IAF indicators, including an assessment of leadership and financial management. 2. Each has received an overall assessment that places their performance in one of four categories: outstanding, good, requires improvement, or inadequate. NHS England s annual performance assessment of s 2017/18 3. Assessments have been derived using an algorithmic approach described in the accompanying methodology manual. This approach was agreed by the Commissioning Committee in June 2018. 4. The table below shows the assessment rating of each. 5. Full details of an individual s performance against the framework s indicators are available on the MyNHS website (at https://www.nhs.uk/mynhs). 6. NHS England commissions an annual survey of partners (the 360 stakeholder survey). The findings of the 2017/18 survey are published alongside this report. 4
