POW-MIA WE WILL NEVER FORGET WWI 3,349 WWII 78,620 COLD WAR 120 KOREA 8,124 VIETNAM 1,740 PERSIAN GULF 1 IRAQI FREEDOM 1 WASHINGTON, D.C. MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND MAY 24, 2009 ROLLING THUNDER, INC. NATIONAL PO BOX 216 NESHANIC STATION, NJ 08853 908-369-5439 FAX: 908-369-2072 ARTIE December 2008 Dear Brothers and Sisters: We hope everyone is well and looking forward to Rolling Thunder XXII Sunday May 24, 2009. We wish to thank everyone for their continued support at this annual demonstration for POW/MIA s and Veterans issues. We have made tremendous headway in the past years but we still have much to do. Many new Veterans from Iraq and Afghanistan have many problems including Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (P.T.S.D.), brain injuries and missing limbs. Thousands of new Veterans that have P.T.S.D. are being discharged with Immature Disability Disorder (I.D.D.) and the Department of Defense is not correcting this situation. Our new Veterans need to be classified correctly with P.T.S.D. and not I.D.D. They were fine before they went into combat and their disabilities are definitely service related. We need everyone to help correct this wrong doing. Together we can flood the offices of our Senators and Congressmen/women with letters, emails, faxes and/or phone calls. This needs national attention NOW. The Bring Them Home Alive Act of 2000 and the Persian Gulf War Accountability Act of 2002 which we assisted in getting signed into law to help bring home American POW/MIA s has worked in this war. We need to stay the course and drive it home to the Department of Defense for change, NOW. Let s stand together and help those who are fighting for the freedom we enjoy every day and for the freedom of those in Iraq and Afghanistan. We need to do our part for the Troops whether we are for or against the war. Keep the faith and we look forward to seeing everyone at Rolling Thunder XXII. God Bless our POW/MIA s, our Troops serving and God Bless the United States of America! Your Brothers, Sgt. Artie Muller Founder/National Executive Director Gary Scheffmeyer National President
