Landfills, transfer stations and separation plants in Mar del Plata and Chubut are in operation with 97 informal recyclers formally incorporated in the new facilities or in other livelihood programs. The Rosario composting plant and segregation facility was inaugurated on November 10th, 2013 and is expected to enter in operation soon. The bidding process for the construction and operation of the sanitary landfill and separation and transfer plant in Mendoza Zona Este is ready for contract signing. Disbursements currently reach 73% of loan proceeds while commitments reach 100%. The majority Page 1 of 8

of the original project indicators are expected to be met or had already been met. The project has been restructured to extend the closing date and allow the finalization of pending works for the construction of the sanitary landfill in Mendoza Zona Este. Under the restructuring project indicators have been amended to allow for an adequate evaluation of the Project s activities and outcomes during the life of this loan; and loan proceeds have been reallocated to allow the implementation of the remaining activities. Ongoing activities include: - Finalizing the bidding process for the construction and operation process of the sanitary landfill in Mendoza; - Development and implementation of Social Inclusion Plans in Mar del Plata, Chubut, Mendoza, Rosario and Córdoba.
