LOWLANDS 2017 TERMS & CONDITIONS OFFICIAL BAG POLICY Large bags are not allowed to be taken into the festival, but are allowed on the camp site. Small hand bags, backpacks, shoulder bags and fanny packs with a maximum size of approximately one A4 sheet and a thickness of not more than 10 centimeters are excluded and may be taken into the festival. ALCOHOL + TOBACCO We may ask you to prove your age. If you re under 18, you re not allowed to buy and/or drink alcohol or buy tobacco at Lowlands. In addition to that, festivalgoers aged 18 or over are not allowed to pass on alcohol to minors. If you violate this rule, you ll get an official warning. In case of a second violation, you will be removed from the festival. We may ask you to prove your age, so please always bring a proof of age document (not a photocopy, must be valid). Minors will receive a different wristband upon entrance, with which no alcohol or tobacco can be purchased. Smoking at Lowlands is only permitted in the open air. In buildings, tents and/or under coverings it s not allowed to smoke. Minors at Lowlands can t buy tobacco at the festival. Refill packages for electronic cigarettes Sealed, dense refill packages for e-cigarettes are only allowed on the camp sites with a maximum of 50 ml of liquid refills (plastic only). WASTE We like to keep the festival clean. That s why you ll receive a trash bag upon entrance: please use it to keep your camp site and its surroundings clean and waste free. You can drop off your full trash bags at the waste collection points at each camp site. Please also help us recycle your waste at the festival site by disposing your trash and drink cups in the designated bins. The drink cups we use are made from PLA and are fully recyclable. SECURITY The entire site is supervised by CCTV cameras, security and police but please: leave as many valuables as possible at home and certainly do not store them in your car or tent! You can rent a locker at the camp site to safely store your belongings.
(ACCESS) CONTROL You will be searched at the entrance to the event which may include a full body pat down. If prohibited items are found at the entrance inspection, you are responsible for storing these items outside the festival or throw them away: it s not possible to store these items during the festival. In the case of prohibited items according to the law, they will be confiscated. Seized or discarded items will not be returned to the visitor. When accessing the grounds, we will check luggage, cars, trailers and RV s for prohibited items such as drugs. Also, the security checks the visitors by means of superficial touch of clothes and searching bags. In the event of refusal of the above security checks, the visitor will not be granted access to the festival site. CROWD SURFING Is not allowed. DRUGS It is legally forbidden to carry or trade any illegal drugs. A 5 gram softdrug tolerance policy is applied per person. Prefabricated joints are not allowed. The organization will check luggage, cars, trailers and RV s. In addition, other spirit-enhancing drugs (including laughing gas canisters) are not allowed at Lowlands. PHOTOGRAPHY / VIDEO AND AUDIO RECORDINGS It s not allowed to film or take professional photographs into the festival. Making sound recordings is also prohibited. Only non-professional devices (no cameras with interchangeable lenses or SLRs) are allowed into the festival without receiving press accreditation. By attending Lowlands, you give your express consent to your actual or simulated likeness to be included within any film, photograph, audio and/or audio-visual recording, which can be used for promotional purposes by Lowlands. GAS INSTALLATIONS Only small sized gas cylinders (190 grams max) are allowed at Lowlands. Please note: gas cartridges in aerosol sizes are often heavier than 190 grams and are therefore not allowed into the camp site. Gas installations are only allowed in by MOT test approved campers. However, the MOT inspection documents must be shown upon entrance. NOISE DISTURBANCE Generators, assemblies and music installations / boom boxes / transistor radios are not allowed, not even at the camp site. DRINK CONTAINERS Glass is forbidden at Lowlands, so also on the camp sites. You can bring your own drinks into the camp site, but only upon first arrival and not more than 8 liters in total (alcohol + non-alcohol). If you re already wearing your wristband, you re not allowed to bring drinks into the camp site from outside the festival premises or the car park. GRAFFITI OR HAVOC Is strictly prohibited. If you get caught, you ll be charged the damage and will be immediately send home.
TRADE It is not permitted to trade or hand out samples at Lowlands and the surrounding premises such as the car park, the surrounding roads and NS train stations without permission from the festival management. INCORRECT BEHAVIOUR Destroying plants and furniture is not allowed and so is annoying and/or aggressive behavior. Please also don t climb the tent structures. PETS We love pets but they re not allowed at Lowlands. TEMPORARY CUSTODY OF ITEMS Unauthorized items are not temporarily stored by the organization. PROOF OF AGE Festival goers must show both a valid ticket and a valid ID upon arrival. Minors will receive a different wristband upon entrance, with which no alcohol or tobacco can be purchased. Also during the whole festival weekend, a proof of age is required. We accept passports, identity cards and drivers licenses. MEDICINES Prescription medicines and large amounts of foods and liquids which you must take into the festival with you due to medical reasons are only allowed in by showing a doctors statement. CLOSING TIME The camp sites close at 14:00 on Monday. Please start packing no later than 12:00 h o clock. Sleepy heads will be woken up at 12:00 o clock by our security staff. MINIMUM AGE We advise a minimum age of 16. FIRE Please keep in mind that fire is very dangerous at festival + camp sites. Open fire is strictly prohibited, both at the camp sites and at the festival site. These include flares, coal barbecues and so on. Only small, disposable barbecues are allowed.
CAMP SITE: WHAT CAN YOU BRING / NOT BRING IN TO THE CAMP SITE? It is not allowed to include the following items: Aggregates, gas installations or large gas cylinders (only small cylinders of camping gas (max. 190 grams) are allowed), boom boxes / transistor radios, walkie-talkies, glass, more than 8 liters of drinks (total of the contents of all packages, both alcoholic and nonalcoholic), flares, coal barbecues, flammable or explosive materials, laughing gas, fireworks, flares, oil lamps, weapons, bicycles, laser pens, unmanned aerial vehicles (such as UAV or Drones) and other dangerous objects. You may bring: Disposable barbecues for single use, hammers (for your tent), cutlery, pocket knives, photo/video equipment, flags, flagsticks. CAMPER CAMPING This campsite is intended exclusively for trailers, RV s and folding tents that meet the requirements of the Road Traffic Act and the Vehicle Regulations. (Temporary) converted vehicles such as vans, stationary cars with mattress etc. will not be allowed. Gas installations are only allowed in APK (MOT) approved camping vehicles. However, the APK inspection documents must be shown upon entrance. The vehicles are registered on arrival; if you leave your trailer, RV or folding tent at Lowlands after the festival, you will be charged for additional cleanup costs. For the Camper Camping, an additional Camper Camping Ticket is required. Vehicles at the Camper Camping do not require a parking ticket. MOTOR CYCLIST As a motor cyclist, a Camper Camping ticket gives you access to the Camper Camping where you can place 2 motors + 1 tent or 2 tents + 1 motor. But you can also use the regular camping and park your motorcycle in the motor cycle park, which you can find next to the bicycle parking.

It is not allowed to bring the following items into the festival: Drinks larger than 0,5 liters (in a plastic or cardboard container or a can), drinks smaller than 0,5 liters are allowed. Other liquids, food, drugs (including laughing gas cylinders), e-cigarettes refills, football shirts, provocative or face-covering clothing, banners made of fabric or cardboard (up to a maximum size of A4 is permitted). Flagpoles thicker than 2cm and longer than 1.5m, umbrellas/parasols, selfie sticks, professional photo + film equipment, devices for recording audio, go pro devices, walkie talkies. Camping supplies (such as hammers and tent sticks), weapons, chains (other than chains on trousers) or other items that can be used as a weapon or disturb the order. Glow sticks, fairy lights, laser pens and other lights with a bundled light beam, toxics, combustible or explosive materials, gas patterns, fireworks, flares. No animals, walking sticks (medical crutches are excluded), skates, bicycles, steps, skateboards, aerosols (excl. deodorant and perfumes), unmanned aerial vehicles (such as UAV or Drones) and other dangerous objects. The following items may only be brought in with permission of the festival organization: Small folding chairs and/or stools only for urgent, medical reasons.
