Getting around By public transportation Public transportation is one of the easiest and fastest ways to get around in Milano. The city is provided with 4 underground lines, numerous bus and trams lines, the latter of which can be considered as one of the symbols of Milano. It is possible to check lines and plan your journey at https://www.atm.it/en/pages/default.aspx. Tickets range from urban to extra-urban, depending on the distance of your destination, and they cannot be purchased on board. You can buy tickets at the tickets machines located in railway and underground stations, at newspapers stands, tobacconists, bars or through ATM App, as you can read here: https://www.atm.it/en/viaggiaconnoi/biglietti/pages/doveacquistare.aspx. Good to know: with six different operators, Milano is the Italian city where car sharing is more widespread. Bike sharing BikeMi (the bike sharing service of the municipality, https://www.bikemi.com/en/homepage.aspx), and the two free floating bike services Ofo (https://www.ofo.com/uk/en/) and Mobike (https://mobike.com/it/) are further options to easily move around the city. 5

The building, a remarkable example of late 19 th century industrial architecture, now belongs to the Municipality, that is transforming it in a fundamental hub for Milano s cultural life. The dinner on 7 th November will be hosted by MUDEC, the Museum of Cultures, in via Tortona 56. Before the dinner, guests will have the possibility to have a guided tour of the permanent collection of the museum. The Museum of Cultures, built on the site of the old Ansaldo factory, displays the municipal collections of ethnographic material and it is a meeting place for cultures and communities. The complex comprises different spaces to offer visitors and the city a whole range of cultural events and facilities. It is located in the Tortona district, roughly 7km from the city centre, and can easily be reached by car or public transportation (the nearest underground station is Green line s Porta Genova ). The Nuvola (cloud) is the most distinctive part of the museum, designed by the famous architect Chipperfield. The idea underlying the design was to use the connecting spaces between the new blocks to create a covered plaza. Its unique character makes it the ideal place for events such as dinners. 8
