CHATTANOOGA GRAND NATIONAL ADJUDICATOR INVITATIONAL MUSIC FESTIVAL Meals paid completely for or the amount of $$$ given indicated. Special attention should be paid to split itineraries. Students will need to know what items and buses they are riding for different days and times. Percussion will also need to pay special attention to when and where instruments are loaded. It changes a couple of times during the trip. All students will need to do a good job keeping track of items to avoid confusion, delays, loss, or theft. Travel shirt will need to be packed in suitcase. Travel shirt is to be worn on Friday morning and early afternoon. Tuesday, April 24 th 6:00 6:45 PM Chaperone Meeting 7:00 8:00 PM Turn in luggage at HS Band Room This is your one suitcase that is loaded underneath the bus. It should include your travel shirt and the clothes you will need for Thursday afternoon through Sunday morning. You should check the forecast for the Chattanooga area in order to be prepared for the weather. Wednesday, April 25 th 5:00 PM Report to Band Room Campus police recommends that you have someone bring you to the band room. If you have to leave your vehicle here, it needs to be parked where you normally park. Do not park in the oval. Do not leave anything of value in your vehicle and give further cause for break in or theft. 5:15 PM Buses Arrive 5:30 PM Load Buses Uniforms are to be stored in the front storage bays, suitcases in the middle storage bays, and instruments in the back storage bays of each bus. All percussion equipment should be loaded on bus 3 (and 4 if necessary). 6:00 PM Depart Jenks Eat dinner before you arrive or bring a sack lunch to eat on the bus. Again, you should check the forecast for the Chattanooga area in order to be prepared for the weather. Include those items with your carry on bag. Planned stop for driver break en route. Students given $5 for stop. Driver change in the middle of the night (West Memphis, AR)

Lunch isn t until 2:00 PM. 8:00 AM Room Check Out Begins Each room must be cleared by their chaperone before leaving the room. It is suggested that students take turns eating breakfast, getting ready for the day, and finish packing. 9:00 AM Load Buses Again, we are split by concert bands. Wind Symphony will need access to concert attire later in the day. After the contest, we will go back to original buses before going home. It will be important that you have packed your stuff in the correct place. This will help prevent items being lost when we return back to Jenks.
