Significant Incident Summary Monday, September 05 to Tuesday, September 06 at 6am 09/06/2016 Multi-Family Fire SE and Caribbean Division TN Tennessee Region A multi-family fire affected 7 individuals in Shelby County on Tuesday. Red Cross provided assistance as needed. 09/03/2016 Single-Family Fire SE and Caribbean Division TN Tennessee Region A single-family fire in the city of Memphis resulted in multiple injuries on Monday. The Tennessee Region expects to provide casework and support services. 09/05/2016 Tornado/Cyclone North Central Division SD Dakotas Region A possible tornado or straight line winds struck the town of Springfield early this morning destroying at least 4 homes, damaging others and affecting about 50 individuals. Electricity to half of the town is out. Red Cross staffed a shelter opened by emergency management. Volunteers from Sioux Falls moved shelter supplies and an ERV to Springfield. Volunteers from Yankton are arranging food for this morning. 09/05/2016 Forest Fire Pacific Division CA Gold Country Region A vegetation fire prompted a mandatory evacuation for 100 homes in Butte County on Monday. A shelter was opened for about 300 displaced residents. 09/05/2016 Multi-Family Fire Northeast Division NJ New Jersey Region Region A fire at an apartment complex in Essex County affected scores of residents and prompted an evacuation. The Northern New Jersey Region expects to provide shelter, food, casework as well as support services. 09/05/2016 Single-Family Fire Northeast Division NY Eastern New York Region A house fire resulted in a fatality on Monday.
