ATIS ATIS 20.225 + 24 MAR 7 0-P.Eff.30.Mar.. GENERAL.AIRPORT.BRIEFING..2. NOISE ABATEMENT PROCEDURES.2.. GENERAL All engine tests only with authorization from the APT Duty Officer and ATC with special caution. Engine tests requiring higher power than idle run are admissible in a place designated by the APT Duty Officer..2.2. CONTINUOUS DESCENT APPROACH (CDA) Depending on the air traffic congestion, ATC will use radar vectoring supplemented with information on miles remaining to the TDZ (distance-to-go (DTG) for final APCH. During RADAR vectoring, ACFT crews shall expect descent below FL 80 within 25 NM to touchdown. Unless instructed otherwise, the pilots shall: - Reduce speed to before commencing the descent from FL 80; - Perform APCH so as the noise impact on the ground is reduced while continuous descent approach procedure is applied..3. LOW VISIBILITY PROCEDURE (LVP).3.. GENERAL The LVP preparation phase will be commenced when RVR falls to 800m or less and/ or the base of cloud is at 300 or less. LVP operations will be commenced when RVR falls below 550m and/or the base of cloud falls below 200. LVP will be terminated when RVR increases to 600m or more and the base of cloud reaches 200 or more and a continuing improvement is anticipated..3.2. DESCRIPTION During LVP, special ATC procedures will be applied. Pilots will be informed of the commencement of these procedures by radio. The following phraseology will be used: "Low visibility procedures CAT II in operation". When special ATC procedures are applicable a significantly reduced landing rate should be expected due to the requirement for increased (up to 0NM) spacing between arriving ACFT..3.3. ARRIVALS ATC will require arriving ACFT to report vacating "RWY vacated" when the ACFT has crossed the stop bar and wait for the Follow-me assistance..3.4. DEPARTURES Take-offs will be carried out using RWY 27. At the request of the flight crew or due to important operational reasons TWR may give clearance for take-off from RWY 09. Take-offs are prohibited if the RVR is less than 25m..3.5. OTHER Taxiing behind Follow-me is required from stop bar to parking position and for the opposite direction. Taxiing on TWYs equipped with working centerline lights is conducted without the assistance of Follow-me when RVR is not less than 350m. Assistance of Follow-me is required on other TWYs when RVR falls below 550m.

GENERAL.4. TAXI PROCEDURES.4.. GENERAL Assumption of responsibility over the ACFT taxiing to designated stands takes place on TWY E and TWY T after the pilot has communicated to ATC visual contact with the marshaller. Assumption of responsibility in other parts of manoeuvring area is allowed if it has been coordinated with Tower controller. Parking on East and West part of Apron 3 (CARGO), Apron 4 (GA) and Apron 6 (GA) only with marshaller instructions..4.2. OPERATIONS OF CRITICAL ACFT TYPES APT is available for ACFT of code letter E, except TWYs H, U and A. Operations of code letter F ACFT: AN225, AN24, A380, Lockheed C5 are allowed as follows: - Code letter F ACFT can operate after receiving prior permission from the aerodrome operator. - Prior permission is not required for ACFT in emergency situations or ACFT with EPKT as an alternate aerodrome. - It is recommended that code letter F ACFT, after landing on RWY 27, take TWY L. After landing on RWY 09, ACFT can take TWY S or T. Warning: - Backtrack marking lines on THR 27 are designed for code letter E ACFT. - Backtrack marking lines on THR 09 are designed for code letter D ACFT. For ACFT of code letters D, E and F, backtrack in the vicinity of the touchdown zone of the blow-out in the direction of PAPI is prohibited. Taxiing on TWY E3 ACFT of code letters E and F only with a Follow-me assistance. Crews are requested to use oversteering technique in curves. The safe clearance from the TWY edges and obstacles is guaranteed if the geometrical centre of the main undercarriage of ACFT is moving along TWY centerline marking. For safety reasons oversteering is recommended also for all ACFT code letter E. Crews of four-engine ACFT are obliged to use minimum thrust of outer engines or, if possible, to taxi with outer engines off..5. OTHER INFORMATION ACFT manoeuvres on the aprons to be carried out with minimum power. The availability of non-scheduled flights and ACFT with less than 8t MTOW are limited. An approval for landing and parking from the APT Duty Manager is required for non-scheduled flights. A request shall include: - Estimated date and time of arrival (ETA) at EPKT aerodrome; - Estimated date and time of departure (ETD) from EPKT aerodrome; - Type of ACFT and ICAO category for rescue and fire-fighting required for that type; - Call sign and flight number; - ICAO or IATA code of departure aerodrome; - ICAO or IATA code of destination aerodrome. - Requests shall be submitted at least 24 hours in advance of ETA. - Requests containing incomplete data shall not be considered. - Requests submitted without the required timing advance may be rejected. - Requests shall be sent to: dop@gtl.com.pl. Replies shall be given by the APT Duty Officer only by e-mail not later than 2 hours in advance of ETA. The permission number shall be inserted in Item 8 of the FPL after RMK/.
