INTRODUCTION The City of Madera uses Measure T funds to support various programs as outlined in the Annual Expenditure Plan (AEP)/Annual Work Plan (AWP) submitted to the Madera County Transportation Authority (MCTA). Measure T funds are also used to match State and/or Federal funds.
Measure T Projects (Completed) In the early half of FY 2018-19 the City of Madera completed three Street Maintenance projects using Measure T-RTP and LPP Supplemental Street Maintenance funds. Two of them were supplemented with SB-1/RMRA funds and the third with SB-1/LPP funds. These three projects improved Local, Collector and Arterial Streets at various location in the City. The improvements included different types of pavement preservation treatments reclamite or application of rejuvenating agent, chip & cape seals, AC overlays, and ADA improvements. The total amount of Measure T funds spent for the 3 projects is $974,749 combined. A total of $554,000 of SB-1 funds was also expended (RMRA & LPP).

Conclusion The City of Madera utilizes the Capital Improvement 5 Year Plan to manage and schedule projects. At the same time, on an annual basis the City also plans for Street Rehabilitation, Repair, Reconstruction and Restoration projects based from PCI generated by the City s Pavement Management System. The City will continue to use Measure T funds and other resources to plan, design and construct projects, to include improvements of alleys, streets and street intersections, sidewalks and other transportation facilities that will enhance the safety and convenience of the public.
