Coaster Chatter Officers February 2018 Rally Tuesday we greeted 17 rigs to the Buellton Rally. After everyone was settled in for a chilly night we all met at the club house for drinks and appetizers. We welcomed our new members Mike and Gloria Wolf. Our evening meal of warm chili beans with cornbread was very welcoming and helped warm everyone up to play Bingo. Our comic Bingo callers, Joy Gilles and Shirley Crawford led us through a funny fun night of Bingo. Winners were James Dills for the Big Blackout Pot, Sylvia Burns X game and Jamie Strachan, who won twice $$$$$. On Wednesday, Mother Nature graced us with beautiful weather for the start of our Valentine s Day Celebration. Perfect, beautiful blue skies and big puffy clouds We started with Bocce Ball. Our hosts served Hot Dogs and Bloody Mary s, which kept the Coasters relaxed and happy. Winners were 1 st place John Wright and Roger Rendall, 2 nd place Bob Wyrick and Dave Burns, 3 rd place by a coin toss, Julie Wyrick and Kerry Ray and Honorable Mention, Sharon Rendell and John Hyduchak. It was an exciting and a relaxing day. We all want to thank Pam Meyer for officiating our tournament. COASTER CHATTER PAGE 2

That evening we all joined at the club-house for a Lasagna Dinner followed by rowdy game of Left Right Center. Winners were Dave Dixon, Gloria Bonner, DJ Davis and Max Peterson. Thursday was a free day for all to visit the Wineries, Solvang, Casino and the beautiful sites surrounding Buellton. COASTER CHATTER PAGE 3

We gathered for our last evening to share a catered Mexican Dinner and host Jamie Strachan serving his delicious Margaritas. Lance and Judi Brown unfortunately weren t able to be with us due to illness (missed you guys) however, they had made arrangements for Ron Miller to provide our entertainment during Happy Hour and into the night. Ron is a wonderful guitarist and singer. That being said, the Coasters danced until the wee hour of 9:00 PM. John Wright was our sheriff. He and his deputy were both sporting an official sheriff badge. Crime scene tape was placed around the crime scene to protect us from a large group of 26 law breakers. John took his job seriously. Fines were collected and the 26 villains were released. Oops, we were bad Friday was full of goodbyes and hugs COASTER CHATTER PAGE 4

Many thanks go to our Trail Bosses Jamie and Pam Strachan, and to their special helpers John and Carol Wright, Lance and Judy Brown, Pat and Shirley Crawford, Tim and Joy Gilles. Special thanks to our awesome photographer, Sharon Rendall. Submitted by: Pam Strachan President s Corner Well we had another great campout in Buellton. The Trail Boss' and their committee did a fantastic job. Also we were able to pick up 3 Rally's for 2019. As of now we have April, June & October booked. Please step up and volunteer. It would be wonderful to get 2019 booked so early. I have the results for the voting on Towable RV s. Out of 86 members, 35 votes were cast and there were only two votes against allowing towable RV s to join the Coasters. So now we will be able to accept towable RV s. Get your friends joined up. Hope to see you at the next Rally. Thanks. Leroy COASTER CHATTER PAGE 5
