Coaster Chatter Officers April 2018 Rally The Jackson rally consisted of 13 rigs (plus 2 Court and Cris Warren). There would have been 14 rigs but there was a last minute no show. Monday night we shared the Club House with another RV group and had hamburgers with all the fixings. Special thanks to Sue Levine, one of our new members, who supplied us with a very unusual (layered) jello. It was delicious! RAINBOW JELLO 7 small boxes of various different jello 1 large container of sour cream 9x13 pan Mix 1 box of jello with 1 1/3 C of hot water. Follow directions on box for mixing. Pour all but 1/3 cup of prepared jello into dish and harden. Meanwhile, mix remaining 1/3 C of prepared jello with 1/3 C sour cream. After jello in dish hardens, spread jello with sour cream on top and harden that layer. Our Trail Boss, Dennis Muller, handled the unexpected news [that the Thursday night dinner would NOT take place at the Casino], like a pro by finding another location, and shifting the other two dinners to other nights. Way to go, Dennis! Tuesday found most of us heading for the various wineries in the area. There were a lot and, unfortunately, we couldn t visit all of them. The wines, thank goodness, did compare favorably with the wines from the Paso/Santa Barbara areas. COASTER CHATTER PAGE 2

Due to the cost of renting the Club House, on Tuesday night our group held it s happy hour outside of Dennis and Judy s rig. There were lots of goodies. Afterwards, we all headed for an Italian Restaurant in downtown Jackson for a family-style dinner. Wednesday, the group scattered again to various local wineries. What the non-winos did, I don t know since I was with a group at the wineries! We did keep running into various members during our lunch breaks. Later, we once again gathered at the Mullers rig for our social hour of sharing wine, food, and gossip. COASTER CHATTER PAGE 3

Type to enter text Afterwards, we headed back to Jackson for dinner at a local Mexican restaurant where the Margarita s flowed instead of wine. We got a little rain as we were leaving the restaurant, but it was quickly over. COASTER CHATTER PAGE 4

On Thursday, a lot of us headed for the old mining town of Murphy for lunch and a little shopping. Our final night was spent once again at the Muller rig where we enjoyed the last of the goodies before our Sheriff, Howard Jones, collected fines from just about all of us for one infraction or another! Thursday night, the group headed back to Jackson for a special kitchen demonstration. I thought it was a cooking demo which I was not looking forward to, but it turned out that it was a demo of all the newest kitchen gadgets. The free appetizers and wine helped the attendance and the sales, since most of us bought something. Thursday night we were on our own for dinner. Some of us ate at the Casino but I don t know where the rest of the group headed. It was a great rally. The weather really cooperated. The only heavy rain we got started about 8:30pm on Thursday and was over by the following morning. Special thanks to Dennis and Judy Muller for hosting the event and to LeRoy and DJ Davis, and Howard and Maureen Jones their helpers.
