Local artisan Stan Jankowski takes his talents to Cardiff. Jankowski Weathervanes Stan was asked to look at repairing and replacing the weathervanes and finials on the top of Cardiff Royal Infirmary. The first job was the flower finials on the front of the building one of the flowers was missing and a copy had to me made of the original. Working from photographs a clay pattern was made, and then a mould from the pattern, and finally the flower was cast, and the flowers are set again and look down on the Newport road. United Utilities and RSPB Cymru would like to thank the local community for welcoming them to the Llanwddyn Community Centre on October 20 th. We were delighted to be able to share our vision for Lake Vyrnwy and to be able to listen to people s comments and opinions on the future management of Lots 1 and 2 of the estate. Should we be successful in concluding the sale, we look forward to arranging further opportunities to meet up with local residents. We are confident that, with community input, our future plans will be able to bring exciting opportunities which will benefit the local economy and the wider public. As the sale progresses we will share updates on any developments with local community leaders and through this newsletter. If you were unable to attend the meeting you may be interested to know that copies of the following documents: United Utilities & RSPB vision for the Lake Vyrnwy Estate ; RSPB Cymru Lake Vyrnwy Community Update - October 2011 and United Utilities & Lake Vyrnwy Estate Questions & Answers can all be obtained from the RSPB Lake Vyrnwy shop.
