From the Baron and Baroness ~ Greetings to all this merry month of March, the time of year when the weather is as indecisive as a chipmunk in a nut factory! We spent time with friends home and abroad last month, at StagsCon here in al-barran, and at Villeon s Corazon de Leon event. It was lovely to see so many pleasant and happy faces at both places! Thank you to all who worked so diligently to make these events so successful. Two demos occurred in February, as well. We d like to thank those who aided in arranging and attending those demos. We will be at Estrella War at the time of this publishing, bringing the mighty Scorpion s sting to the fields of Atenveldt by the King s command! When we return with the flush of war still upon us, Crown Tournament will soon follow, the second weekend in March. If you are looking for opportunities to serve at Crown Tournament, please contact Lord Garreth and Lady Pipa. The 23 rd of March will be the first GOT XL cleanup at the awesome new site please contact THL Y or THL Melodia for up-todate information and details. On to a more personal note, her Excellency Elisee humbly seeks the counsel of all good gentles as she prepares her response to Their Royal Majesties offer of admittance into the Right Noble Order of the Pelican, which will occur the weekend of Crown Tournament. Vigil will be held at the home of Mistress Ymanya Murray, 2120 Utah NE, Albuquerque, Friday night, March 8 th, from 7 p.m. until all who care to speak have spoken. If you care to render counsel and are unable to attend the vigil, please feel free to send your words to bennetbev@aol.com. Messages will be compiled in a journal to be presented at the Vigil. In closing, we offer a word of encouragement for those experiencing challenges in finance, health, or any troubling issue- please remember this: storms make oaks take roots. To quote author Harriet Beecher Stowe, Never give up, for that is just the place and time that the tide will turn. Our best to all,

Greetings, The Book Herald has had a busy month. There are 12 pieces that should go up this month. In addition there was a mass consult held at Sir Tankard's place this month with about 20 people in attendance. The November 2012 LOAR contained one al-barranian submission, and it was passed. Congratulations to Dieterich Löwenstern,or as he's commonly called "Druid" on the passage of his name. There is a new way that heraldic commentary in the Outlands will be done. There will be a google meetup meeting every month, so that the Northern Heralds and Southern Heralds can work together and get the best possible results for our kingdom's submissions. The first meeting will be tomorrow and hopefully this will work out. I Remain In Your Service, Lord Anzelm Kowalski

Letter from the Seneschal Good greetings to all for your most health and comfort! First, my deepest thanks to everyone who made our February events so successful! I have heard nothing but fantastic things about First Sunday, and remain quite sad to have missed such a great time. StagsCon was also a great event, and I hope everyone who attended got as much out of the sessions as they could. Thanks to the event staff and the cooks who put on such a fantastic spread. Word of your deeds has traveled far. Also, thanks to Lady Pipa for her hard work lining up folks to help out with two Cub Scouts demos. Planning for events in the next few months is continuing, and there is still lots to do! The coordinators for the Albuquerque Renaissance Fair (April 27) and the Celtic Festival (May 18-10) are still looking for help, and these will both be fantastic opportunities to reach a wide audience and new members. Crown Tourney (March 9-10) is promising to be a wonderful weekend. Grand Outlandish planning is in full swing, and I know there are still many opportunities to help, including the first cleanup on March 23. We have also been allowed to place our Baronial Champions on the weekend of August 9-11, so we are seeking an event steward and staff for that. Please, if you would like to help out with any of these events or would like more information on how you could be involved, contact me, Their Excellencies or our wonderful event stewards and coordinators. Thanks also to everyone who has made the First Sundays such a success! It has been a wonderful site to see the barony out in such color and spirits this winter! We have several months of fantastic coordinators lined up, and I cannot wait to see what they have planned for us. We are still looking for coordinators for July through December, so if you have interest in holding one of these, please contact Their Excellencies and me. Thanks to all, and warmest wishes in these chilly days! Ymanya
