Hundreds of thousands of women had significant pension changes imposed on them by the Pension Acts of 1995 and 2001 but were not notified of the changes until relatively recently. The Council called upon the Government to reconsider transitional arrangements for women born between 1951 and 1955 so that women do not live in hardship due to pension changes they were not told about until it was too late to make alternative arrangements Come and talk to foster carers at County Hall in Matlock The County Council were looking for people who can offer loving homes to children who can't, for whatever reason, live with their families. 2

Anyone interested in fostering was invited to meet foster carers and staff from our fostering team at Matlock on Wednesday 6 July 2016 from 5-7pm. People who were interested but can't get to County Hall should Call 01629 533071 or see our fostering information.
