Weather permitting, work will be done at the following locations throughout the Treasure Coast. For updated lane closure information, please refer to www.d4fdot.com. Follow us on Twitter @ MyFDOT_SEFL. CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS MARTIN COUNTY 1. State Road 710 / Warfield Boulevard from east of the Florida East Coast Railway Crossing to east of SW Fox Brown Road Description: This 10-mile design/build project consists of widening the existing two-lane roadway to add two 1.5-mile passing lane segments, one in each direction. Other improvements include milling and resurfacing of the existing lanes and construction of new shoulders, guardrail installation, and drainage modifications. Cost/Completion: $6.92 million. Completion in summer 2016.
Intermittent lane closures on SR 710 may occur between 7 a.m. Monday and 8 p.m. Saturday. A flag crew will maintain two-way traffic. 2. Danford Creek Bridge / State Road 714 Repair Project Description: The Danforth Creek Bridge repair project on State Road 714 is expected to begin August 1. Work on this project includes providing slope protection/channel lining to prevent further erosion, repairing the bridge slabs to prevent rotational movements, and repairing the existing sidewalk on the south side of the bridge. Cost/Completion: $1.18 million. Completion in early 2017. All lanes are open through Friday, July 29. ** See attached flyer 3. I-95 Interchange at Kanner Highway / State Road 76 (Exit 101) Description: This 0.745-mile project includes widening Kanner Highway (SR 76) at the I-95 interchange, reconstructing the I-95 entrance and exit ramps, drainage, milling and resurfacing, signing & pavement markings, and signalization. One westbound lane of Kanner Highway will be closed intermittently Sunday through Thursday between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. for widening. 4. NE Causeway Boulevard from Indian River Drive to State Road A1A in Jensen Beach The sidewalk along the north side of NW Causeway Boulevard is closed through spring 2017. Pedestrians should use the sidewalk on the south side of the roadway.
5. U.S. 1 at NW Eugenia Street, SE Summerfield Way and SE Pettway Street One lane in either direction of U.S. 1 at NW Eugenia Street, SE Summerfield Way and SE Pettway Street will be closed intermittently Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. for signal rehabilitation. This work is expected to be complete by mid-august. 6. State Road A1A from MacArthur Boulevard to Doubloon Drive in Stuart The northbound lane of A1A will be closed Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. for utility work. A flag crew will maintain two-way traffic. This work is expected to be complete by September. 7. U.S. 1 from Tressler Drive to Central Parkway in Stuart Two southbound lanes of U.S. 1 will be closed Monday through Friday between 12:01 a.m. and 6 a.m. for utility work. One southbound lane of U.S. 1 may be closed Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. for utility work. 8. Kanner Highway west of Monterey Road in Stuart One eastbound lane of Kanner Highway will be closed Tuesday and Wednesday between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. to install a driveway approach. 9. Kanner Highway from west of Indian Street to Gaines Avenue in Stuart
One lane in each direction on Kanner Highway will be closed Monday morning between 12:01 a.m. and 6 a.m. and Monday through Thursday between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m. for utility work. 10. U.S. 1 from Eugenia Street to Westmoreland Boulevard in Jensen Beach One lane in either direction on U.S. 1 will be closed Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. for bus shelter work. ST. LUCIE COUNTY 11. State Road A1A Bridge Rehabilitation over the FPL Discharge Canal in Jensen Beach Description: This 0.085-mile-long project includes replacing the existing concrete bridge deck and approach slabs, milling and resurfacing the roadway at the approach slabs, concrete spall repairs of the piles and pile caps, and installing a corrosion protection system to the piles and pile caps. Cost/Completion: $1.8 million. Completion in fall 2016. The speed limit has been reduced from 45 mph to 35 mph at the bridge until fall 2016. One lane in either direction of A1A at the FPL discharge canal may be closed intermittently Monday through Friday between 7 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. A flag crew will maintain two-way traffic. The sidewalk along A1A will be closed intermittently Monday through Friday between 7 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.
12. State Road 70 / Okeechobee Road and Jenkins Road Intersection in Fort Pierce Description: Work on this.549-mile project includes widening the SR 70 and Jenkins Road intersection to provide additional through lanes and turning lanes, box culvert extension and installation work, drainage improvements, and lighting and signalization upgrades. Cost/Completion: $5.46 million. Completion in spring 2017. The inside lane in either direction of Okeechobee Road from Jenkins Road to the Walmart entrance will be closed intermittently Monday through Friday between 7:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. for median work. Only one lane in each direction will be closed at the same time. One lane in either direction of Okeechobee Road from I-95 to Kerr Street may be closed intermittently Sunday through Friday between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m. and Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. One lane in either direction of Jenkins Road to the north and south of the Okeechobee Road intersection may be closed intermittently Sunday through Friday between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m. and Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. A flag crew will maintain two-way traffic. The sidewalk on the south side of Okeechobee Road from Jenkins Road east to Roylat Street is closed through summer 2016. Pedestrians may cross at the signalized intersections at Jenkins Road and McNeil Road. The sidewalk on the north side of Okeechobee Road from Jenkins Road west to the RaceTrac / Home Depot driveway entrance is closed through summer 2016. Pedestrians may cross at the signalized intersections at Jenkins Road and Peters Road / Crossroads Parkway. 13. Indrio Road from west of I-95 to east of State Road 607 / Emerson Avenue in Fort Pierce Description: Indrio Road is being widened from west of the I-95 interchange to east of Emerson Avenue (State Road 607). This 2.7-mile project includes: reconstructing the existing two-lane Indrio Road to a four-lane, divided highway with a raised median; constructing a 6-foot sidewalk along the south side and a 12-foot-wide multi-purpose trail along the north side of Indrio Road; realigning Spanish Lakes Boulevard to connect with Koblegard Road; reconstructing Koblegard Road from Indrio Road north approximately.5 mile; and installing new highway lighting, signage and signalization.
Cost/Completion: $23.9 million. Completion in spring 2019. The speed limit on Indrio Road between the I-95 interchange and Emerson Avenue has been reduced from 55 mph to 45 mph. The speed limit will remain at 45 mph after the project completion. One lane in each direction of Indrio Road from I-95 to east of Koblegard Road is closed around-the-clock to accommodate roadway construction on the north side of Indrio Road. One lane in either direction of Indrio Road will be closed Monday through Friday between 7 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. for barrier wall installation. A flag crew will maintain two-way traffic. Westbound traffic on Indrio Road from Spanish Lakes Boulevard to east of Koblegard Road is shifted south to an existing eastbound lane. Both eastbound and westbound traffic are reduced to one lane in each direction. o As part of the westbound traffic shift, the left turn lane from Spanish Lakes Fairways to Indrio Road is closed and all motorists must turn right onto Indrio Road. Motorists wanting to head east on Indrio Road should go west and make a U-turn at the median opening after the I-95 overpass. **See attached flyer 14. I-95 Bridge Deck Replacement Project at Gatlin Boulevard and Midway Road Description: Work on this project includes removing & replacing the bridge decks on I-95 over Gatlin Boulevard and CR-712/Midway Road, milling and resurfacing approaches to bridge decks, and re-striping approaches to bridge decks. Cost/Completion: $8.2 million. Completion in fall 2017. The inside lane in each direction of I-95 at the Gatlin Boulevard and Midway Road overpasses is closed around-the-clock through August. Two lanes are open in each direction at the overpasses. The outside lane in each direction of I-95 at the Midway Road overpass will be closed Wednesday night between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. for surveying. Only one lane will be open in each direction at this overpass.
The outside lane in each direction of I-95 at the Gatlin Boulevard overpass will be closed Thursday night between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. for surveying. Only one lane will be open in each direction at this overpass. One inside lane in each direction of Midway Road at I-95 will be closed Monday through Friday between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. for work on the overhead bridge deck. 15. 25 th Street / State Road 615 at Edwards Road in Ft. Pierce One northbound lane of 25 th Street will be closed Tuesday and Wednesday between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. INDIAN RIVER COUNTY 16. I-95 (SR 9) from just north of State Road 60 (Osceola Boulevard/Exit 147) at Vero Beach to the Indian River/Brevard County Line Description: I-95 is being widened from just north of State Road 60 to the Indian River/Brevard County line. Improvements in this 12.5-mile-long project include: adding one lane on I-95 in each direction; milling and resurfacing the existing lanes; signalization and lighting improvements; Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) improvements, including closed-circuit television cameras, Dynamic Message Signs and vehicle detectors; removal/replacement of the existing bridges over CR 512 (Fellsmere Road); construction of a noise barrier wall adjacent to the Encore Sunshine Travel RV Resort; and reconstruction of the interchange at CR 512, including the ramps and turn lanes. Completion in late 2016. Motorists should be alert for slow moving construction vehicles entering and exiting the travel lanes.

Southbound traffic on I-95 from south County Road 512 to north of State Road 60 is shifted to temporary lanes along northbound I-95. Northbound traffic on I-95 from north of County Road 512 to the Indian River / Brevard County line is shifted to temporary lanes along southbound I-95. ** See attached flyer 17.
